Abstract: The present invention relates to patient routing. In order to provide a more efficient patient flow for autonomous image acquisition, a method is provided for controlling a patient transfer apparatus within a healthcare facility. The method comprises the following steps: providing a routing information for transferring the patient transfer apparatus to a required location; controlling the patient transfer apparatus to move on a first guided path according to the provided routing information; detecting at least one of a vital sign and an abnormal movement of the patient during a transit of the patient transfer apparatus; evaluating a patient condition based on at least one of the detected vital sign and the detected abnormal movement of the patient; updating the routing information in response to the evaluated patient condition, if the evaluated patient condition meets a predefined criterion; and controlling the patient transfer apparatus to move on a second guided path according to the updated routing information during the transit of the patient transfer apparatus.

Abstract: The invention is directed to a device (100) for determining a position of a metal object (200) in or at a patient body (300), the device (100) comprising: a sensor unit (102) configured to be moved along a pre-determined trajectory (104), wherein the sensor unit (102) is configured for generating a magnetic field (106) during a movement of the sensor unit (102) along the trajectory (104), wherein the sensor unit (102) is configured for receiving a response signal induced by the generated magnetic field (106), wherein the sensor unit (102) is configured for detecting a change of the response signal induced by the generated magnetic field (106) during said movement due to a change (110) of a distance between the sensor unit (102) and the metal object (200) in or at the patient body (300), and wherein in the sensor unit (102) is configured for determining the position of the metal object (200) based on the detected change (110) of the response signal during said movement.

Abstract: There is a need for techniques to avoid or reduce motion artifacts in medical images. According to the invention, there is provided control circuitry for a medical imaging system. The control circuitry is configured to control the medical imaging system to provide synchronized display and nudging to provide a patient with information on the progress of a scan. In this way, patient anxiety may be reduced by providing the patient with a sense of time during the scan, leading to a reduction in motion artifacts.

Abstract: There is provided a computer-implemented method (200) for obscuring one or more facial features of a subject in an image. A head of the subject is detected in the image (202) and a location of one or more facial features of the subject is identified in the image (204). A region of the image to modify is determined based on the location of the one or more facial features (206). The determined region comprises a part of the head on which the one or more facial features are located. The image within the determined region is modified to obscure the one or more facial features (208).
