Abstract: Provided is a method and device thereof, for determining whether to perform skin treatment by a device. The method comprises obtaining an image frame of a skin area to be treated, sensing a displacement of the device during a processing period of the captured image frame and determining whether to perform the skin treatment based on the sensed displacement. The device comprises an image capturing unit configured to capture an image frame of a skin area to be treated, a motion/position sensor configured to sense a displacement of the device on the skin area, and a control means configured to process the captured image frame during a processing period, receive, from the motion sensor, a displacement of the device during the processing period, and determine whether to perform treatment based on the received displacement.
