摘要: A method of operating a pneumatic transport system in a process line of a spinning mill, wherein fiber flocks are transported through ducts by means fo airflows generated by fans and these airflows can be influenced by units such as fans, adjustable flats, leakage air openings and induction boxes. In critical regions the respectively prevailing static pressure is measured by means of pressure sensors and, in so far as this pressure lies outside of a predetermined desired range a correction is first made at one of the units which contributes to determining this pressure in the sense of changing the pressure into the desired range or in the direction towards the desired range. The effect of this change in other critical regions effected thereby is then determined with reference to the pressure measured there and a change is subsequently effected of a further unit responsible for the pressure in these regions. The above process steps are repeated in the sense of an iterative adaptation to the desired ranges, i.e. until the measured pressures lie in the respectively provided desired ranges.

摘要: The method for mixing textile fibers utilizes a computer which is inputted with data concerning the characteristics of the fibers of the individual fiber bales to be processed as well as the data indicative of the desired characteristics of the board sliver or yarn which is to be manufactured from the fiber mixture obtained from the fibers of the individual bales. From the inputted data, the computer, in accordance with a predetermined computing algorithm, calculates a component distribution which comes close to the estimated component distribution and which satisfies the desired characteristics of the car sliver or yarn characteristics. The computer may also effect a correction of the computed component distribution taking into account boundary conditions with additional inputted information. The component distribution found by the computer is used for the adjustment or regulation of the supply of individual fiber components to a mixer in order to obtain the calculated component distribution in the fiber mixture which si delivered by the mixer.

摘要: A method and apparatus for converting measurement data pertaining to slivers and fibers originating from a continuous measurement that is dependent upon a plurality of parameters to calibration values. The plurality of parameters includes ambient, processing and measurement parameters. The parameters are converted and combined during processing. The resulting data relates only to individual property parameters and their changes per unit of time and are reduced to standard conditions with respect to ambient and processing parameters. The apparatus includes a plurality of sensors, a calibrating unit and a processing unit that function to continuously measure a quantity of material per length of the sliver and a variation in a fineness of the fiber per unit of time.

摘要: A method and apparatus for in-line color measurement of continuously moving fiber material, during a fiber material process, by using a color measuring device. The moving fiber material is compressed at a processing position. At the processing position, the fiber material is illuminated by a light probe, thereby defining a measuring position. The light reflected from the fiber material is detected and evaluated to thereby obtain a color measurement of the advancing fiber material.

摘要: A connector for a disk drive unit includes a base, a curve portion, a tab, a support, a hook, and a first spring arm. The base has a left portion, a right portion, a bottom portion, and a top portion. The curve portion extends from a back of the top portion of the base. The tab is adapted to be inserted into a retention opening of a static wall of a server. The support extends substantially horizontally from an opposite end of the curve portion, and is adapted to flex up and down when the tab is inserted into the retention opening of the static wall of the server. The hook is physically connected between the support and the tab, and is adapted to flex the support when the hook pressed into contact with a top of the retention opening, and to snap fit around the top of the retention opening when the connector is completely inserted into the retention opening. The first spring arm extends toward a center and in front of the base, and is adapted to apply a force to the static wall when the hook is snap fitted around the top of the retention opening to secure the disk drive unit within the server.

摘要: System with apparatus to improve international and other communication, and to provide easier access to data, especially digitized data, by means of linked alternative languages generated from a source language. As taught by the present invention, a linked alternative language is an especially designed language form quite different in outward format from its source language in that it has been optimized in a plurality of ways to allow targeted populations to comprehend and use it more efficiently than the source language, but which has also been carefully designed to retain full bidirectional machine translation equivalence to the source language. All use of artificial intelligence and computational linguistics for machine translation as taught in the present invention is constrained by these considerations.

摘要: An adjustable shelf unit for use in a storage rack and having at least two shelf panels supported on laterally spaced forwardly extending support members. Each panel is slidable over the panel behind it and each panel but the front panel has a indentation across its forward edge the depth of which is equal to the thickness of a transversely extending lip on the rear of the panel in front of it. The side flanges of the panels have tabs which engage one another when the panels are extended to limit the forward travel of the panels. Also disclosed is a cable which is looped around sheaves fixed to the support members. The cable is fixed to each side of the front panel so as to maintain proper alignment of the panels.

摘要: Device and process for operation of open baking furnaces, in particular such ring-type furnaces for manufacturing anodes for the aluminum electrolytic process, are such that for each so called fire the sealing chamber and/or chamber in the cooling zone can be saved in that the flue gas exhaust manifold is not situated on the headwall but instead on the flue and/or the opening of that headwall on which the last fresh air supply manifold is situated is closed off by a sliding baffle. Openings corresponding in cross section to that of the connected part of the flue gas exhaust manifold are provided in the region of the flues. The advantage of the process lies in the greater flexibility in furnace operation, which results either in an increase in production or an increase in product quality.
