The multimedia content redirection method reproduces media content at a sink node employing enhanced media reproduction performance by redirecting a current media content being reproduced to the sink node when the sink node, such as audio device or media player, capable of reproducing multimedia contents is discovered in a network while a source node such as mobile terminal is reproducing the media content in an ad-hoc network.

    摘要: A system and method for intermediating an audio/video (A/V) stream between a data network and an IEEE 1394 network are provided. In an exemplary embodiment, an A/V stream of an IP network is provided to a device connected to the IEEE 1394 network in real time, or the A/V stream of the IP network is once stored and then is provided to the device connected to the IEEE 1394 network when a viewer desires to view the A/V stream. The A/V stream can be provided to the viewer irrespective of the format parser, codec, transmission protocol, and transmission control protocol, required for the transrecorder's reception of the A/V stream from the media server or for the transrecorder's transmission of the A/V stream to the display device. Also, diverse A/V streams provided from the server of the data network can be stored, and then can be provided to the viewer through the display device whenever the display device connected to the IEEE 1394 network requests the A/V stream.

    摘要: An apparatus, system, and method for upgrading to a new codec used in a digital broadcasting environment are provided. The apparatus includes a first transceiver that receives a transport stream; a first parser that parses the transport stream to determine a codec packet, and decodes codec information contained therein; and a codec-comparison unit that compares the decoded codec information with existing codec information, and determines whether a codec should be downloaded. The system includes a device manufacturer that manufactures a codec packet; a broadcaster that transmits a transport stream containing the codec packet; and a rendering device that parses the transport stream, compares existing codec information with new codec information, and upgrades a codec based on the comparison. The method includes receiving a transport stream; parsing the stream; decoding new codec information; comparing the new codec information with existing information; and upgrading the codec based on the new codec information.

    摘要: A network connection apparatus for communicating between a network device located in a first private network and a second private network located outside the first private network. The apparatus includes an address acquisition module capable of acquiring a public IP address of a network management device from a DNS based on a domain name of the network management device of the second private network is provided. A connection management module is provided that is capable of forming a P2P connection to the network device if there is a request for a connection to the second private network from the network device. The connection management module is further capable of forming a virtual private network tunnel with the second private network based on the public IP address transferred from the address acquisition module. The connection management module is further capable of transferring to the network device a private IP address used in the second private network.

    摘要: An A/V stream-forwarding system forwarding A/V streams of a data network to an IEEE 1394 network and a method therefor. The A/V stream-forwarding system has a media server having an interface with the data network and providing the A/V streams; a transcoder receiving the A/V streams provided by the media server through the data-network interface, and transcoding the A/V streams into A/V streams in a predetermined format supported by an IEEE 1394 network; and; a display device receiving and reproducing the A/V streams of the transcoder in the predetermined format that is supported by the IEEE 1394 network. Accordingly, the A/V streams of the data network are converted into A/V streams in a predetermined format that is supported by the IEEE 1394 network, regardless of diverse A/V stream formats, codecs, transmission protocols, transmission control protocols, and so on, of the data network.
