    Abstract: A pop-up monitor with an obstacle sensing function is provided. The pop-up monitor includes a body housing and a monitor frame which is installed to move in a vertical direction with respect to the body housing. The pop-up monitor includes a driving unit, a sensor, and a controller. The driving unit includes a motor, a rotational shaft, and a gear set which transfers a rotational motion of the motor to the rotational shaft. The sensor outputs a sensing signal for whether the rotational shaft rotates. The controller outputs a control signal for a rotational direction of the motor according to the sensing signal and state information regarding whether the motor rotates.

    Abstract: A rotary control device and an electronic apparatus in which it is used are disclosed. The control device includes a flat cylindrical switch plate for selectively exposing function switches to the outside of the electronic apparatus in accordance with rotation of the switch plate.     Abstract: A gear structure is configured to support vertical motion of an electric pop-up monitor. More specifically, a double rack gear structure is configured to support a pop-up monitor. The rack gear structure includes an outer gear and an inner gear. The outer gear is coupled at a side of the monitor frame to operate integrally with the monitor frame, and enables the vertical motion of the monitor frame with an ascending or descending motion. The inner gear is received inside the outer gear. The inner gear performs an ascending or descending motion simultaneously with the outer gear, and supports forward and rearward or right and left shaking, which occurs in the outer gear, by maximizing a portion overlapping with the outer gear when the outer gear has ascended to the maximum.

    Abstract: A pop-up monitor is provided. A pop-up monitor with a double rack gear includes a driving unit, a rack gear set, and a monitor frame. The driving unit includes a spur gear set having first and second spur gears, and generates first and second rotational motions with the first and second spur gears. The rack gear set includes an outer gear with a rail groove in one surface thereof along, changing the first rotational motion to a first rectilinear motion, and an inner gear with a rail rail-coupled to the rail groove changing the second rotational motion to a second rectilinear motion. The monitor frame includes a support frame supporting a monitor. The monitor frame is fixed by the inner gear which vertically ascends by the second rectilinear motion without forward and rearward movement when the support frame has vertically ascended to a position according to the first rectilinear motion.

    Abstract: A medical device for dressing head wounds of a patient. The device has a dome-shaped flexible cap with a circumferential pocket around its base and an adjustable strap having two opposite ends, wherein the two opposite ends can be affixed to the flexible cap using an attachment mechanism. The adjustable strap is further adapted to cover the patient's chin, thereby securing the flexible cap over the patient's head. The adjustable strap can further have a chin pocket at a middle portion of the strap such that it overlays the patient's chin. The circumferential pocket and the chin pocket are configured to accommodate at least one wound dressing pad for covering the head wounds, wherein the head wounds are located at least partially in front, back, and/or below the patient's ears and at least partially on the patient's chin.
