The driving circuit includes a minimum gray level judgment unit for determining whether the picture data is of a predetermined minimum gray level; and a switching unit for receiving a control signal according to the determination made by the minimum gray level judgment unit and for selectively supplying a reference voltage or a reference current to the selectively driven organic electroluminescent devices.

    摘要: A driving circuit for an active matrix organic light emitting diode includes a gamma voltage generation unit for generating differentiated gamma reference voltages corresponding to red, green, and blue colors and a driving unit for outputting a video data signal of a frame, by receiving the respective gamma reference voltages corresponding to red, green and blue colors generated in the gamma voltage generation unit and the power voltages corresponding to red, green and blue colors from the power supply unit. The driving circuit for the active matrix organic LED generates the video signal applied to the pixel for displaying the respective RGB colors, using the power voltages and gamma reference voltages which are independent according to the respective RGB colors and accordingly the pixel can be driven exactly as described using organic substances having different RGB characteristics, thus to improve the quality of the image.

    摘要: An active matrix organic electroluminescent display device of the present invention is fabricated through a six-mask process unlike the related art that uses eight masks. In the present invention, since the ground line and the power line are entirely or over substantially disposed above the substrate, the resistance of the power line is reduced and thermal damage that may occur in the power line during driving the device is prevented. Therefore, the image quality increases and the uniformity in the display can be obtained. Furthermore, due to the reduction of the mask process, the occurrence of defects is reduced and the production yield can be raised. Additionally, the principle of the present invention can be applied to either the top emission type organic electroluminescent display device or the bottom emission type organic electroluminescent display device. When it is utilized for the top emission type, the active matrix organic electroluminescent display device can have a high aperture ratio.

    摘要: A liquid crystal display device includes a timing control unit for generating first and second control signals, which are transitioned every ½ frame. A polarity signal is set according to a count number obtained by counting the number of wave forms of the first and/or second control signals. A plurality of gate lines and data lines are arranged on a substrate crossing each other. A plurality of pixels are arranged in a matrix format on the substrate, with two pixels being provided in the regions divided by the gate and data lines. A data driving unit determines polarities of the first and second image data according to the polarity signal being received from the timing control unit, and then supplies the first and second image data to the pixels in the first and second columns through the first and second data lines, respectively.
