    Abstract: A connector has a main portion formed as a part of a multilayer wiring board and having a tongue shape. The multilayer wiring board is provided with a surface conductive layer and an inner conductive layer. The inner conductive layer is located apart from and inward of the surface conductive layer in an up-down direction. The main portion is provided with a grounding plate formed in the surface conductive layer and a plurality of contacts formed in the inner conductive layer. Each of the contacts is, at least in part, exposed and contactable in the up-down direction. Since the grounding plate and the contacts are formed in the conductive layers of the multilayer wiring board, the connector can possess desired electric characteristics in high accuracy.

    Abstract: A connector is attachable with a composite cable and is connectable with a mating connector having a mating contact portion. The composite cable has at least one cable set which comprises a first cable and two second cables. The connector has a first member, a plurality of terminals and a second member. The first member is attachable with the composite cable. The plurality of terminals include at least one terminal set which comprises a first terminal and two second terminals. Each of the terminals has a contact portion, a held portion and a connecting portion. The connecting portion is connected with the composite cable when the connector is attached with the composite cable. In the at least one terminal set, the connecting portion of the first terminal is positioned between the connecting portions of the second terminals in a horizontal direction. The second member is combined with the first member.

    Abstract: A connection structure comprises a cable and a connection object. The cable includes two wires and an insulation body which covers and binds the two wires. The insulation body includes two coverings which cover the wires, respectively. The connection object comprises a base portion and a pressing member. The base portion has a catch portion and a cable-holding portion. The cable has a held section and a pressed section. The held section is held by the cable-holding portion. The pressed section is sandwiched and pressed between the pressing member and the catch portion in an upper-lower direction (Z-direction). The insulation body of the pressed section includes a coupling strip. The coupling strip couples the two coverings to each other in a lateral direction (Y-direction).

    Abstract: A cable assembly extends in a longitudinal direction. The cable assembly comprises a first cable, two second cables, two coupling portions, an interposing portion and an outer cover. The first cable has a first conductor and a first cover. Each of the second cables has a second conductor and a second cover. The coupling portions couple the second covers, respectively, with the first cover. The first cable, the two second cables and the two coupling portions are arranged in a V-shape in a plane perpendicular to the longitudinal direction. The interposing portion extends along the first cable and the two second cables and has a full length which is equal to that of each of the first cable and the two second cables. The interposing portion is brought into contact with all the first cable and the two second cables.

    Abstract: A connector is provided with a plurality of terminals and a housing. The terminals include a first terminal corresponding to a first cable and a second terminal corresponding to a second cable. Each of the terminals has a contact portion, a held portion and a connection portion. The contact portion is brought into contact with a mating contact portion when the connector is connected to a mating connector. The held portion is held by the housing. When the connector is attached to a composite cable, the connection portion pierces a covering portion of a cable corresponding thereto and is connected to a conductor of the cable. The connection portion of the first terminal protrudes from the held portion in a front-rear direction. The connection portion of the second terminal protrudes from the held portion in a perpendicular direction.

    Abstract: A connector includes a plurality of contacts, which are held by a holder member and are arranged in a pitch direction perpendicular to a front-rear direction. Each contact has a terminal portion to be connected and fixed to an object and a connection portion which is, at least in part, held by a plate-like portion of the holder member and is positioned forwards of the terminal portion in the front-rear direction. The connection portion has a first contact portion, a second contact portion and a rear connection portion. The first contact portion is, at least in part, exposed on the first surface. The second contact portion is, at least in part, exposed on the second surface. The rear connection portion connects a rear of the first contact portion with a rear of the second contact portion and is connected to the terminal portion.
