Abstract: The light projector of the invention includes a lamp, a full-ellipsoidal reflector and an elongated glass rod on an optical axis, with the light source at the primary focus and the proximal end of the glass rod at the conjugate focus. A transverse, infrared-reflecting, visible light transmitting mirror is disposed within the reflector at the mid-point of the optical axis between the primary focus and the conjugate focus. A preferred embodiment of the reflector has a proximal conical end and a conical distal end, a reflective surface within the reflector and an emissive exterior surface including cooling fins.

Abstract: A tracklight system includes a generally U-shaped track comprising an elongated metal extrusion having a canted base extending between a first parallel leg extending at an acute angle from the base to a distal end and a second parallel leg extending at an obtuse angle from the base to a distal end. The first parallel leg has means for attaching it to a wall or ceiling, and an elongated insulator is attached to second parallel leg 26 and extending through the track length. The insulator has a number of longitudinal slots, each including an electrical conductor receiving power from remote mains. One or more tracklight fixtures may be mounted onto or within the parallel legs. In a preferred embodiment the distal end of the first parallel leg terminates in a J-shaped hook suitable for hanging paintings, or other wall hangings, to be illuminated by the fixtures of the track.

Abstract: A racing plate horseshoe system with movable calks has an arcuate racing plate attachable to a horse's hoof. An elongated groove is provided in the lower surface and has a plurality of spaced-apart threaded holes extending from the upper surface to the groove in the lower surface. The threaded holes are provided with set screws to protect the holes during fitting the shoes. One or more screw-attached calks are mounted to the racing plate, each calk having upstanding tabs engaged into the groove and having a depending blade. The blade calk is attached to the racing plate with a screw replacing the set screw. Each calk may be mounted to the racing plate in with blade in any one of four orthogonal positions with one or more of the upstanding tabs engaged into the groove of the shoe. A preferred embodiment uses cap screws installed in the threaded hole to provide simple wear-resistant calks. Another preferred embodiment has one or more heel blocks comprising cylindrical spacers attached by screws installed into the threaded holes. The racing plate may be adapted to the track conditions and the horse's running characteristics by adding any combination of blade calks, wear calks and heel blocks.

Abstract: A toy glider has an elongated fuselage including a nose section and a tail empennage section, an elongated, recessed wing mounting channel on each side of the flight axis including a female, V-shaped bottom for receiving a pair of wings. Each wing has a wing root in the form of an elongated polygon having male corners matching the V-bottom channel of the fuselage. A tension means, such as an elastic band, urges each wing root into a mating engagement with the wing root channel of the fuselage, whereby the tension means may be manually overcome to disengage wing root and permit movement of either wing in a vertical direction from the horizontal plane. In a preferred embodiment one male corner of the wing root as an upstanding rib matching an elongated groove in the V-bottom of the fuselage channel, providing a positive position for the wing in a flight configuration. A preferred embodiment provides separate, manually movable inboard and outboard wing sections which permit the wings to be configured as planar wings, gull wings, inverted gull wings or substantially folded gull wings.

Abstract: The horizontal bar includes tubular members freely telescopically interconnected having lateral extending ends depending to outward facing U-shaped members having sufficient width to be disposed about the respective sides of a doorway, and to have frictional engagement therewith.
