    Abstract: This disclosure describes systems, methods, and devices related to neighbor awareness networking (NAN) operations in the 6 GHz frequency band. A NAN device may generate a first NAN frame including a first indication of a NAN operation capability, and a second indication of a transmit power of the NAN device. The NAN device may send the first NAN frame and may identify a second NAN frame received from a second NAN device, the second NAN frame including a third indication of the NAN operation capability, and a fourth indication of a transmit power of the second NAN device. The NAN device may determine, based on the transmit power of the NAN device and the transmit power of the second NAN device, an operation parameter for the 6 GHz frequency band. The NAN device may establish, based on the operation parameter, a NAN connection using the 6 GHz frequency band.

    Abstract: The disclosure provides techniques for power control for communications under a Very Low Power (VLP) mode. A communication device includes: processing circuitry, to encode a message to be transmitted to a second communication device, to indicate a setpoint, wherein the setpoint is defined as a minimum power at which a packet is required to be transmitted under a set of packet parameters, such that the packet could be successfully received by the communication device; and a transceiver, to transmit the message to the second communication device, and receive the packet transmitted at a power determined based on the setpoint and a margin, from the second communication device, wherein the margin is determined based on a probability of measurement errors.

    Abstract: Provided herein are apparatus and methods for signaling regulatory information and transmit power information for device-to-device communication. An apparatus for a Wi-Fi device comprising: a RF interface; and processor circuitry coupled with the RF interface. The processor circuitry is to: decode a first discovery frame received from a peer Wi-Fi device via the RF interface to obtain a first Operation Information attribute of the peer Wi-Fi device, wherein the first Operation Information attribute is to indicate a first operation mode of the peer Wi-Fi device; and encode, in response to the first discovery frame, a second discovery frame for transmission to the peer Wi-Fi device via the RF interface, wherein the second discovery frame includes a second Operation Information attribute of the Wi-Fi device to indicate a second operation mode of the Wi-Fi device. Other embodiments may also be disclosed and claimed.
