Abstract:
B,B''-BIS(ALKYLAMINO DIETHYL SULFONES PREPARED BY REACTING A PRIMARY AMINE OF THE FORMULA R1NH2 WITH A DIVINYL SULFONE OR A DIALLYL SULFONE HAVING THE FORMULA
(R2-CH=CH)2-SO2
R1 CAN BE ALKYL, HYDROXYALKYL, ALKOXY ALKYL, ALKYL SUBSTITUTED AMINOALKYL, THE TOTAL NUMBER OF CARBON ATOMS IN R1 RANGING BETWEEN 1-18. R2 IS HYDROGEN OR METHYL. THE REACTION IS CARRIED OUT AT A TEMPERATURE BETWEEN -45*C. AND 65*C. AND THE REACTION PRODUCT IS USEFUL AS AN INTERMEDIATE IN THE PREPARATION OF POLYAMIDE BY REACTION THEREOF WITH A DIBASIC ACID CHLORIDE OR OF A POLYUREA BY REACTION THEREOF WITH A DIISOCYANATE.
Abstract:
A NOVEL CLASS OF SULFONES USEFUL AS STABILIZERS IN POLYOLEFIN COMPOSITIONS AND POLYOLEFIN COMPOSITION MADE FROM THE SAME. THE SULFONES HAVE THE FORMULA
Abstract:
Polyamides obtained by reacting a dibasic acid chloride and a Beta , Beta ''-bis(alkylamino) diethyl sulfone. The polyamides are characterized by the repeating unit or methyl. WHEREIN Z is phenylene or alkylene of from two to eight carbon atoms, R1 is unsubstituted alkyl, hydroxyalkyl, alkoxyalkyl or alkyl substituted aminoalkyl, the total number of carbon atoms in R1 ranging between 1 and 18; and R2 is hydrogen ormethyl. These polymers are film-forming and possess adhesive or rubber-like properties.
