Abstract: An electronic device generates a theme package of a linkage animation based on image data that is input by a user. The theme package of the linkage animation may include a description file and image data for displaying the linkage animation. An animation effect in which the linkage animation is linked to one or more status change processes of the electronic device may be defined in the description file. When using the linkage animation, the electronic device may parse the theme package of the linkage animation to obtain an animation linked to the status change process of the electronic device, and synchronously play the animation in the status change process of the electronic device.
