Abstract: A computer-implemented method for operating a user equipment (UE) includes measuring a channel quality of a channel associated with a first uplink channel and a second uplink channel, determining that the channel quality is between a first channel quality threshold and a second channel quality threshold, and based thereon, selecting either the first uplink channel or the second uplink channel for an uplink transmission in accordance with a current location of the UE, historical information of successful uplink channel access attempts, and a distance threshold, and performing an uplink random access procedure in accordance with the selected uplink channel.

Abstract: A method for indicating a frame structure in a wireless local area network (WLAN) is provided. A sending device generates a transmission frame. The transmission frame includes a physical header. The physical header includes a frame structure indication field. A subcarrier polarity of the frame structure indication field is used to indicate the frame structure of the transmission frame. The sending device sends the transmission frame to a receiving device. In the transmission frame, a first subcarrier polarity indicates the transmission frame has a first frame structure, and a second subcarrier polarity indicates the transmission frame has a second frame structure, so that the receiving device determines the frame structure of the transmission frame according to the subcarrier polarity of the frame structure indication field.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, a configuration indicating a first orthogonal cover code (OCC) length that is 4 and a second OCC length that is 2 for demodulation reference signals (DM-RSs) communications between the base station and the UE. The UE may receive a signaling indicating the UE to communicate DM-RS(s) according to the first OCC length or the second OCC length. The UE may communicate, with the base station, a DM-RS according to the first OCC length or the second OCC length indicated by the signaling.
