Embodiments of this application disclose a virtualized network function resource management method and device. The method includes: sending, by a virtual network function manager (VNFM) device, a preprocessing request message to an element manager (EM) device, where the preprocessing request message is used to request the EM device to perform a resource pre-scaling-in on a virtual network function (VNF) instance, and the resource pre-scaling-in includes migrating a service hosted in a virtualization container on which the resource pre-scaling-in needs to be performed; and performing, by the VNFM device, the resource scaling-in on the VNF instance after determining that the EM device completes the resource pre-scaling-in. According to the method and apparatus provided in the embodiments of this application, preprocessing can be performed on the virtualization container, and the service hosted in the virtualization container can be migrated to avoid being damaged during the resource scaling-in.
Abstract:
The present disclosure provides a hardware acceleration method and a related device. The hardware acceleration method includes: determining, by a functional entity, a requirement of a to-be-accelerated virtualized network function VNF; determining, by the functional entity, a target virtualized infrastructure manager VIM; and deploying, by the functional entity, the to-be-accelerated VNF onto a target host in a management domain of the target VIM by using the target VIM. In the present invention, the functional entity deploys the to-be-accelerated VNF onto the target host whose hardware matching resource meets the requirement in the to-be-accelerated VNF, so that the type of the hardware acceleration resource required in the to-be-accelerated VNF can match a type of the hardware matching resource of the target host, and the hardware matching resource of the target host can meet an acceleration requirement of the to-be-accelerated VNF, thereby effectively improving performance of the to-be-accelerated VNF.

The present invention provides a hardware acceleration method and a communications system. The hardware acceleration method includes: sending, by a network functions virtualization orchestrator (NFVO), first request information to a virtualized infrastructure manager (VIM), wherein the first request information is configured to request the VIM to deploy the to-be-accelerated VNF onto a host in a management domain of the VIM, wherein a hardware resource of the host meets a requirement of the to-be-accelerated VNF, and the requirement of the to-be-accelerated VNF includes information indicating a type of a required hardware acceleration resource and a size of the required hardware acceleration resource in the to-be-accelerated VNF; receiving, by the VIM, the first request information from the NFVO; and deploying, by the VIM, the to-be-accelerated VNF onto the host in the management domain of the VIM.

The present disclosure relates to a method and an apparatus for configuring a redundancy data center in a cloud computing architecture. The method includes receiving a request for configuring a redundancy data center DC for a specified network service NS; acquiring, from an affinity relationship information bank of application objects according to the request for configuring a redundancy DC, information about an affinity and/or anti-affinity relationship among application objects that support the specified network service, where application objects having an affinity relationship rare deployed in a same DC, and application objects having an anti-affinity relationship are deployed in different DCs; and selecting, from deployed DCs, a redundancy DC for the specified network service according to redundancy resource information of the deployed DCs and the acquired information about an affinity and/or anti-affinity relationship.
