A path computation method and a related device are disclosed. The method includes: a second network device receives path requirement information and a recomputation condition that are sent by a first network device; the second network device first obtains by means of computation a path meeting a requirement according to the path requirement information, and sends description information of the path meeting the requirement to the first network device; then the second network device constantly determines whether the recomputation condition is met; and when the recomputation condition is met, the second network device performs path recomputation, and sends description information of a path obtained by means of recomputation to the first network device. Therefore sensitivity for triggering path recomputation can be improved and a quantity of communication messages between network devices can be reduced.

A method for generating configuration information includes: a network control unit receives a virtual machine association message, where the VM association message includes an identifier of a first VM and an identifier of a first virtual built-in network element (NE), where a state of the first VM changes and the first virtual built-in NE detects that the state of the first VM changes; and the network control unit determines first information according to the identifier of the first VM, where the first information includes at least one of: a first forwarding entry, a location information mapping entry of the first VM, and a first network policy. According to the method, a network control unit determines first information according to an identifier of a first VM whose state changes and whose identifier is included in a VM association message, network configuration efficiency and network performance are improved.

The present invention discloses a method, system, service selection entity, and service management entity for selecting a service provision entity in a peer-to-peer (P2P) network communication, so as to select heterogeneous service provision entities for heterogeneous service requesting entities. The method includes: receiving service capability information of service provision entities; obtaining service request information of a service requesting entity; and selecting a service provision entity of an appropriate service capability to provide a service for the service requesting entity according to the service capability information of service provision entities and the service request information of the service requesting entity. The present invention is applicable to P2P overlay networks, wherein the service selection entity, the service requesting entities, and the service provision entity each comprises a respective network enabled communication device selected from anyone of: a client device, a server, and a storage device for peer-to-peer (P2P) network communication.

A network policy configuration method. The network policy configuration method includes: establishing correlation information between a virtual switch and physical network devices; when an operation event aimed at a virtual machine occurs, sending a first network policy configuration message aimed at the virtual machine to a virtual switch corresponding to the virtual machine, where the first network policy configuration message is used to instruct the virtual switch to perform network policy configuration; and acquiring, according to the correlation information, physical network devices correlated to the virtual switch, and sending second network policy configuration messages aimed at the virtual machine to the physical network devices correlated to the virtual switch, where the second network policy configuration messages are used to instruct the physical network devices to perform network policy configuration. The technical solution is capable of automatically configuring a network policy, thereby supporting the server virtualization technology.

A method, a network management center, and a related device. The method includes: obtaining a physical network policy group and a media access control (MAC) address of a virtual port; associating the physical network policy group and the MAC address of the virtual port to form a virtual port policy association table; and selecting the physical network policy group corresponding to the MAC address carried by a request from the virtual port policy association table, and delivering the physical network policy group to a physical switch sending the request. When a virtual machine (VM) on the server is migrated, the method may be used to migrate the network policy for the virtual port on a real-time basis. Therefore, the real-time effect of services provided by the VM is improved in the virtualization process of the server.

This application provides a port configuration method and a communications device. The method includes: obtaining, by a first communications device, an identifier of a second port group of a second communications device, where the identifier of the second port group is used to indicate configuration information of a first port of the first communications device, and establishing, by the first communications device, a connection to a second port in the second port group by using the first port, where the first port is any port of the first communications device, the second port is any port in the second port group, and the configuration information includes an internet protocol IP address; determining, by the first communications device, the configuration information of the first port based on the identifier of the second port group; and configuring, by the first communications device, the configuration information for the first port.

The present invention discloses a load balancing method, apparatus and system. In the present invention, a network management and control center of a basic network system interacts with a service management and control center of a network service system, and determines a load balancing policy according to entity information about service function execution entities in the network service system; and the network management and control center generates an execution flow table according to the load balancing policy, and controls a network device to perform a load balancing operation according to the execution flow table. The present invention is applicable to a network service system comprising a service function execution entity in a transparent mode, so as to implement load balancing processing on the service function execution entity in transparent mode in the network service system.
Abstract:
This application provides a network device service quality detection method and apparatus. A service function feature of a network device is built into a service template as a fixed part. An operation and maintenance engineer does not need to learn of a service function feature of each network device, and only needs to provide information such as a flow identifier and deployment information that are of a to-be-detected service flow. A controller dynamically deploys a detection point according to the flow identifier and the deployment information of the service flow that are provided by the operation and maintenance engineer and the fixed part of the service template, so as to automatically detect service quality of a network device, and reduce operation and maintenance complexity and difficulties.
