Abstract:
The invention relates to a network entity for controlling distribution of slice service level agreement, SLA, information of a network slice in a mobile communication network, wherein the network entity is configured to: obtain a plurality of slice SLA indications, wherein each slice SLA indication is obtained from a network control entity of a first plurality of network control entities; and provide to a network control entity local slice SLA information, wherein the local slice SLA information is based on the obtained plurality of slice SLA indications. The invention further relates to a network control entity for supporting distribution of slice service level agreement, SLA, information for a mobile communication network, wherein the network control entity is configured to: provide a plurality of slice SLA indications to a network entity for controlling distribution of slice SLA information of a network slice; obtain local slice SLA information related to a network slice from a second entity, wherein the local slice SLA information is based on the obtained plurality of slice SLA indications.
Abstract:
The present disclosure provides a method and an apparatus for improving a mobile network system. In one example method, the apparatus may comprise an Application Function, AF, and a Policy Control Function, PCF, wherein the AF is configured to request the PCF to configure the multiple QoS levels for the session.
Abstract:
An entity, particularly a Radio Access Network (RAN) entity, adjusts Quality of Service (QoS) of at least one QoS flow in a RAN. The entity is configured to: obtain assistance information for an adjustment of at least one QoS profile for the at least one QoS flow of at least one wireless communication device, particularly of at least one user equipment (UE); and provide, to a second entity, particularly to a Core Network (CN) entity, a request for an adjustment or QoS information for the adjustment from a first QoS profile to a second QoS profile of a first QoS flow. The request or the QoS information is based on the assistance information.
Abstract:
The present disclosure provides a method and an apparatus (100) for improving a mobile network system, in particular a 4G or 5G system. The apparatus (100) is configured to support multiple Quality of Service (QoS) levels (101) for a session (102) related to an application (103) or a service. In particular, the apparatus (100) may comprise an Application Function, AF, (200) and a Policy Control Function, PCF, (201), wherein the AF (200) is configured to request (202) from the PCF (201) to configure the multiple QoS levels (101) for the session (102). Advantageously, the apparatus (100) may switch from a current QoS level (101) for the session (102) to another QoS level (101) for the session (102) in case of a modification of the session (102), in particular if one or more parameters of the session (102) are modified.
Abstract:
A control entity for controlling a communication service of a mobile communication network includes a first communication interface configured to obtain a group quality of service (QoS) treatment requirement for group QoS treatment of a traffic group including one or more communication services in the mobile communication network. The control entity also includes a processor configured to generate one or more QoS flow groups and a corresponding group QoS treatment policy for each QoS flow group based on the obtained group QoS treatment requirement and the traffic group. Each QoS flow group includes at least one of the communication services. The control entity further includes a second communication interface configured to provide QoS group information to one or more network entities in the mobile communication network. The QoS group information includes a QoS flow group identifier and the group QoS treatment policy for a corresponding QoS flow group.
Abstract:
A method for providing a local traffic shortcut (LTS) in a packet-oriented mobile communication network comprising the steps of storing in a LTS-database the IP addresses of all devices served by at least one network node of said network along with a node-ID of the respective network node; receiving an IP data packet by a network node and extracting a destination IP-address from the received data packet; querying the LTS-database with the extracted destination IP-address of the received data packet to identify at least one network node for performing a local traffic shortcut (LTS); and establishing an LTS path with the identified network node.
