    Abstract: an interface display method and an electronic device. In the method, a target application in the electronic device may generate a view tree based on a first display window whose width is less than a width of an actual display window. The electronic device may generate, based on a second display window, a user interface corresponding to the view tree. The electronic device may stretch a second view node that may affect aesthetics of the user interface, so that a width of the second view node is adapted to a width of the second display window. For a first view node that does not affect the aesthetics of the user interface, a current state of the first view node in the user interface is maintained.

    Abstract: A prompt method and a terminal device are provided, and are applicable to the field of man-machine interaction technologies. The method includes: dividing a startup icon of an application program into an associated area and a non-associated area in advance; when a user operates the startup icon of the application program, identifying an operated area for the startup icon; and starting the application program normally if the operation is performed on the non-associated area; or displaying a preset interface if the operation is performed on the associated area.
