Abstract: An optical time-domain reflectometer (OTDR), where a laser emitting apparatus of the OTDR outputs a first optical signal in a first time period. A signal modulation apparatus of the OTDR generates a pulse signal based on the first optical signal, and outputs the pulse signal to an optical fiber in a second time period, where the first time period includes the second time period. A receiver of the OTDR receives a scattered signal from the optical fiber, where a frequency of the scattered signal is the same as a frequency of the first optical signal. Then, the laser emitting apparatus outputs a second optical signal in a third time period, where a frequency of the second optical signal is different from the frequency of the first optical signal. The second optical signal is used as a local oscillator signal to implement coherent detection in the receiver.

Abstract: This application discloses an optical signal transceiver apparatus, and belongs to the communications field. The apparatus includes: an optical signal generation module, configured to generate a to-be-sent optical signal and a local oscillator optical signal, where the to-be-sent optical signal includes an OTDR signal; an optical combining/splitting module, configured to: receive a to-be-processed optical signal from an optical fiber; and input the to-be-processed optical signal into an coherent receiving module; the coherent receiving module, configured to coherently receive the local oscillator optical signal and the to-be-processed optical signal to obtain a to-be-processed electrical signal; a signal processing module, configured to: obtain a first digital signal and a second digital signal from the to-be-processed electrical signal based on a signal frequency; process the first digital signal to obtain a communications code stream; and process the second digital signal to obtain information used to reflect a feature of the optical fiber.

Abstract: Embodiments of this application provide an optical power adjustment system and an optical power adjustment apparatus. The system includes a multi-mode light source, a mode demultiplexer, and an optical power adjustment apparatus. The multi-mode light source is configured to output a multi-mode optical signal, where the multi-mode optical signal includes N transverse-mode optical signals, N=2M, and M is an integer greater than 1. The mode demultiplexer is configured to convert the N transverse-mode optical signals into N fundamental-mode optical signals, and output the N fundamental-mode optical signals. The optical power adjustment apparatus includes M optical power adjustment modules and a control apparatus, each optical power adjustment module includes a plurality of phase shifters, and the control apparatus is electrically connected to the M optical power adjustment modules.
