Abstract:
A field-effect transistor has an extra gate above a shallow trench isolation (STI) to enhance and to adapt the low-frequency noise induced by an STI-silicon interface. By changing the voltage applied to the STI gate, the field-effect transistor is able to adapt its low-frequency noise over four decades. The field-effect transistor can be fabricated with a standard CMOS logic process without additional masks or process modification.
Abstract:
A novel multifunctional nano-probe interface is proposed for applications in neural stimulation and detecting. The nano-probe interface structure consists of a carbon nanotube coated with a thin isolation layer, a micro-electrode substrate array, and a controller IC for neural cell recording and stimulation. The micro-electrode substrate array contains wires connecting the carbon nanotube with the controller IC, as well as microfluidic channels for supplying neural tissues with essential nutrition and medicine. The carbon nanotube is disposed on the micro-electrode substrate array made by silicon, coated with a thin isolation layer around thereof, and employed as a nano-probe for neural recording and stimulation.

A remote surveillance device is provided herein, which mainly contains a camera, infra-red LEDs, an anti-theft circuit, a radio-frequency transmission circuit, a solar panel, and a battery, etc. The remote surveillance device is operable during power outage, saves captured images locally, transmits captured images to at least a remote control center via a wireless air interface, generates alarm and notifies a control center whenever an abnormal condition occurs. The infra-red LEDs provides lighting for continuous image capturing during night time.
Abstract:
The present invention discloses a field-effect transistor (FET) type biosensor and a bio-signal amplification method. The biosensor comprises a field-effect transistor chip, a biomolecular immobilization layer and at least one primer. The biomolecular immobilization layer is formed on a gate surface of the FET chip or a surface of an external device connected to a gate. The primer used for performing a nucleic acid amplification is immobilized onto the gate surface or the external device surface by binding with the biomolecular immobilization layer, such that an analyte can have a nucleic acid amplification reaction with the primer at room temperature or a constant temperature environment. With an extension of a nucleic acid sequence, the inducing electricity of the FET gate surface can be increased so as to amplify an inspection signal, thereby enhancing the sensitivity of the FET type biosensor effectively.

A lighting device is provided herein to provide auxiliary lighting in locating keyholes. The device mainly contains a key holding member and a casing member. The bow of a key is fixedly housed inside the key holding member with the blade of the key sticking out in the front. The key holding member in turn is housed inside the casing member, right next to a lamp element, which is connected to the negative electrode of a battery chamber housed in the back of the casing member and a metallic contact blade floating between the positive electrode of the battery chamber and a press button on the top cover of the casing member. The lamp element is turned on when the press button is held down and the contact blade touches the positive electrode.

A spectacle with an illumination device is disclosed. The spectacle comprises a body and a clipping device, and the front section of the body is provided with an illumination device. The interior of the body contains batteries connected to the illumination device. The lateral side of the body has protrusion and the clipping device comprises a positioning element and a pivot connection to the securing element or a fastening element having elasticity being extended from the positioning element such that when the clipping device clips to the body, the spectacle is provided with an illumination effect. The positioning element has protrusions being mounted with the lug to provide up and down angle adjustment of the body.

A nonvolatile analog memory has a floating gate point. The nonvolatile analog memory includes a first current source, a second current source, and a current adjuster. The first current source generates a first current, and the second current source generates a second current. The current adjuster turns on or turns off a current path of the second current according to a reference current and the first current. Furthermore, when the current path of the second current is turned on, the first current is adjusted according to the second current, such that the first current is equal to the reference current.
Abstract:
An interior anchor structure for a vacuum preservation container has a closed and resilient pouch filled with gas located therein. When the preservation container holds a preserving article and is vacuumized, the resilient pouch inflates because of the interior pressure of the preservation container decreases. The elasticity and flexibility of the resilient pouch may be deformed to squeeze and hold the preserving article securely in a still manner without shaking and damaging.

A ratchet wrench includes a handle having a head, a hollow ratchet wheel rotatably received in the head and controlled by a control device, and a tool member engageable with a lower portion of the hollow ratchet wheel and having a stem engageable through the hollow ratchet wheel. A resilient and deformable ring member is attached onto the stem, and engageable through the ratchet wheel, and engageable with an upper portion of the hollow ratchet wheel, to quickly anchor the tool member to the hollow ratchet wheel with the ring member, and to prevent the tool members from being disengaged from the hollow ratchet wheel.
