摘要: A method for compressing a video stream includes retrieving a plurality of frames corresponding to the video stream. For each of two or more sequential frames of the plurality of frames of the video stream, the method includes extracting Key Point Descriptors (KPDs) for the respective frame and processing the respective frame using Principle Component Analysis (PCA) followed by vector quantization, resulting in a quantized explained variance matrix for the respective frame. The quantized explained variance matrix for the respective frame is stored. The KPDs for the respective frame are stored.

The systems may include one or more cameras, a video recorder, a mobile display device, and a location detection system. The location detection system may detect a proximity of the mobile display device relative to one or more cameras and determine when the proximity to a camera meets a predetermine proximity criteria. The mobile display device may display at least part of a recorded video stream that is captured by the camera when it is determined the proximity of the mobile display device to the camera meets the predetermined proximity criteria. In some cases, the displayed video may be displayed in a virtual reality or three dimensional format. Further, as the proximity of the mobile display device to the camera changes, a zoom level and/or direction of view of the displayed video may change.

摘要: Methods and systems for resolving one or more faults in a security camera include installing an Auto-Executable Function (AEF) on the security camera. The AEF causes the controller to backup the set of user defined configuration settings to a memory of the security camera, reset the security camera back to the set of default configuration settings, reboot the security camera, and restore the set of user defined configuration settings. In many cases, this will resolve many unresolved faults within video camera and place the video camera back online. When this does not resolve a fault, the AEF creates a diagnostic report, wirelessly transmits the diagnostic report to a mobile device of a user, the mobile device identifies a software patch for resolving the fault, and the software patch is uploaded and installed on the security camera.

摘要: A method for controlling a PTZ camera having a controllable FOV includes detecting a first detection event by a first detector located at a first location that is along a first path in a monitored region. In response to the first detection event, the PTZ camera is automatically controlled such that the FOV of the PTZ camera includes at least part of the first detection region along the first path in the monitored region. A second detection event is detected by a second detector located at a second location that is along the first path in the monitored region, wherein the second location is spaced from the first location. In response to the second detection event, the PTZ camera is automatically controlled such that the FOV of the PTZ camera includes at least part of the second detection region along the first path in the monitored region.
