Abstract: Systems and methods for upgrading legacy surveillance systems to employ artificial intelligence based monitoring are provided. Such systems and methods can include a network interface device of a network connected device that can receive a primary data stream from a legacy surveillance system, a first processor of the network connected device that can receive user input identifying a type of the legacy surveillance system and process the primary data stream based on the type of the legacy surveillance system, and an artificial intelligence processor of the network connected device that can monitor the primary data stream as processed by the first processor to determine whether a current state of the secured area corresponds to a trigger condition and, when the current state of the secured area corresponds to the trigger condition, initiate a standard workflow for the type of the legacy surveillance system.

Abstract: Methods and systems for operating a Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning (HVAC) system in accordance with one of a plurality of operating modes. The plurality of operating modes include one or more of a health mode, an energy savings mode and a balanced mode. In some cases, the operating modes include two or more energy saving modes. The currently operating mode is selected based on the current operating conditions of the building and the desired goals of the building operator. The goals can include, for example, reducing energy usage, reducing pathogen risks, increasing air quality and/or a combination of these goals. In some cases, the operating modes are autonomously controlled. In some cases, the operating modes are manually controlled.

Abstract: Appropriate ventilation for a building space while maintaining building comfort includes tracking one or more interior environmental conditions within the building space and one or more exterior environmental conditions outside of the building space during operation of the HVAC system. An environmental model for the building space is learned over time based at least in part on these tracked environmental conditions, where the environmental model predicts an environmental response of the building space to operation of the HVAC system under various interior and exterior environmental conditions. An appropriate ventilation rate that maintains adherence to one or more comfort parameters of the building space is determined by using the environmental model of the building space. The outdoor air ventilation damper of the HVAC system is controlled to provide appropriate ventilation.

Abstract: Systems and methods for using artificial intelligence models to identify a current threat scenario are provided that train the artificial intelligence models to infer or recognize different threat scenarios using values from a plurality of sensors, including historical data from the plurality of sensors during known threat scenarios. In some embodiments, systems and methods can use current ones of the values from the plurality of sensors to aggregate a respective output from each one of a set of the plurality of artificial intelligence models to identify the current threat scenario present in an area monitored by the plurality of sensors and execute an action corresponding to the current threat scenario.
