Abstract: The thermal management system includes a cooling circuit in which cooling water circulates, a heat exchange circuit in which cooling water performing heat exchange with a battery flows, a flow rate control valve which adjusts a flow rate of cooling water flowing from the cooling circuit to the heat exchange circuit, a shutter which adjusts an introduction amount of outside air into an engine room, and an ECU which controls an opening degree of the flow rate control valve and an opening degree of the shutter. The ECU controls the shutter and the flow rate control valve to be in a fully closed state when a cooling water temperature is less than a valve opening temperature of a thermostat valve and controls the shutter and the flow rate control valve to be in an open state when the cooling water temperature is greater than the valve opening temperature.

Abstract: The cooling water control apparatus of the disclosure includes: a cooling water circuit; a heat accumulator which is arranged in the cooling water circuit and stores high-temperature cooling water flowing out from an internal combustion engine; an on-off valve for opening/closing the cooling water circuit; a heater passage which is connected in parallel to the cooling water circuit; and a flow rate control valve which controls a flow rate of the cooling water inside the heater passage. The cooling water inside the heat accumulator is supplied to the internal combustion engine by closing the flow rate control valve and opening the on-off valve in order to promote warm-up at the start of the internal combustion engine, and thereafter, the on-off valve is closed, and an opening degree of the flow rate control valve is controlled to make the temperature of the internal combustion engine reach a specified target temperature.

Abstract: The disclosure is a battery temperature raising device for hybrid vehicle that raises the temperature of a battery. In an engine travelling mode, when an engine water temperature is higher than a specified cooling water temperature, a first battery circuit is connected to a main circuit and the temperature of the battery is raised by cooling water in the main circuit (first temperature raising control). In a motor travelling mode, when a motor generator temperature is higher than a battery temperature, the first battery circuit and a heat exchanger flow path are connected to the main circuit, and thereby a closed circuit through which cooling water circulates without passing through an engine is formed, and the temperature of the battery is raised by the cooling water that is raised in temperature by heat exchange with a refrigerant in a heat exchanger (second temperature raising control).

Abstract: A battery temperature raising device is provided which raises, in a vehicle having an internal combustion engine and a motor using a chargeable battery as a power source, the temperature of the battery during charging in a state that the internal combustion engine is stopped. The battery temperature raising device includes a main circuit where cooling water circulates through the internal combustion engine; a first battery circuit connected in parallel to the main circuit; and a second flow rate control valve arranged in the first battery circuit. A first temperature raising control for raising the temperature of the battery is executed, when a battery temperature is equal to or below a predetermined temperature and an engine water temperature is higher than the battery temperature during charging the battery, by opening the second flow rate control valve and introducing the cooling water inside the main circuit into the first battery circuit.

Abstract: A heat accumulation and dissipation device (1) for an internal combustion engine (2) includes, in a cooling circuit (3) for circulating cooling water used to cool the internal combustion engine (2), a heat accumulator (7) for accumulating the cooling water, and an exhaust heat recovery device (9) for recovering the heat of exhaust gas through the cooling water, wherein when the internal combustion engine (2) is started, heat is dissipated by sending the cooling water of the heat accumulator (7) to the internal combustion engine (2). The cooling circuit (3) includes a heat accumulation and dissipation circuit (8) configured to perform heat accumulation and dissipation while circulating the cooling water between the internal combustion engine (2) and the heat accumulator (7), and the heat accumulator (9) is arranged upstream of the heat accumulator (7) of the heat accumulation and dissipation circuit (8).

Abstract: A heat distribution device for hybrid vehicle is provided, including: an engine cooling circuit through which cooling water for cooling an internal combustion engine circulates; a MG cooling circuit through which a refrigerant for cooling a motor generator circulates; and a heat exchanger which performs heat exchange between the cooling water and the refrigerant. When it is determined based on a charging rate SOC of a battery that the battery can be charged, charging control is performed to charge the battery with electric power generated in a regenerative operation; when it is determined that the battery cannot be charged, heat dissipation control is performed to dissipate the heat generated by the regenerative operation to the engine cooling circuit side by the heat exchange between the refrigerant and the cooling water in the heat exchanger.

Abstract: An internal combustion engine includes an engine main body defining a cylinder bore, a piston received in the cylinder bore, and a crankshaft rotatably supported by the engine main body and connected with the piston via a connecting rod, the piston including a skirt. The cylinder bore includes a first region defined as a range along the cylinder axial line on a side of a top dead center from a first piston position, and a second region defined as a range along the cylinder axial line on a side of the bottom dead center from a second piston position closer to the bottom dead center than the first piston position, and a connection region positioned between the first and second regions. A diameter of the cylinder bore is smaller in the first region than in the second region, and the connection region connects the first and second regions smoothly.
