摘要: A method, apparatus, and system for retaining a stow strap is disclosed. The stow strap may be usable with a stowable automotive seat. A seat stowing mechanism may be housed at least partially within the inner portion of the seat. A stow strap may be interoperable with the seat stowing mechanism, wherein the stow strap passes from the inner seat to the outer rear seatback surface of the seat through an opening in the outer rear seatback of the seat. Pulling the stow strap imparts a force in a first direction on the seat stowing mechanism. A stow strap retaining mechanism may be spaced from the opening and may provide a reactive force in a return direction to return the stow strap toward the outer rear seatback surface when the stow strap is pulled away from the rear seatback surface.

摘要: A vehicle seat that can include a seat cushion and a concealing lid. The seat cushion can include a lower foam portion, an upper foam portion, and a buckle hole that extends through each of the lower foam portion and the upper foam portion. The concealing lid can be movably connected to the seat cushion to selectively close and open at least a portion of the buckle hole. The concealing lid can span at least a portion of the buckle hole when the concealing lid is in the closed position. The concealing lid can include an end portion that extends into a gap between the upper foam portion and the lower foam portion when the concealing lid is in the closed position. The end portion of the concealing lid can be spaced away from lower foam portion when the concealing lid is in the opened position.

摘要: A removable and stowable vehicle seat system includes a seat that can be folded into a compact form factor and a retainer provided in a cargo area of the vehicle to receive and retain the folded seat. The retainer is sized and shaped to receive the folded seat in a close arrangement to ensure the folded seat stays in place. A strap is also provided with tether hooks to secure the folded seat within the retainer by engaging the tether hooks to body anchors provided in the retainer. The floor recess of the retainer has features to easily receive a folded seat and position it into an optimal resting position. The floor recess may be provided with pads to engage with feet on the base of the folded seat. The pads serve to securely locate the seat within the retainer and to dampen vibration of the stored seat while the vehicle is in motion.

The assembly includes a bracket coupled between the seat bottom and the seat back, and a cam plate coupled to the bracket and to the seat back. The cam plate is rotatable relative to the bracket and in a fixed orientation relative to the seat back such that the cam plate is rotatable with the seat back relative to the seat bottom. The cam plate includes an arcuate slot. The assembly also includes a linear damper including a first end coupled to the bracket and a second end coupled within the arcuate slot. The second end is translatable within the arcuate slot such that the linear damper is configured to provide selective damping to the seat back based on an orientation of the seat back relative to the seat bottom.

摘要: A single motor dual-motion actuator and method for a vehicle seat includes a pin actuator rotatable in the first rotatable direction from a pin actuator rest position toward a pin actuator first position and rotatable in a second rotatable direction from the pin actuator rest position toward a pin actuator second position. The actuator further includes a first actuator component and a second actuator component. The first actuator component is co-rotatable with the pin actuator from a first actuator component rest position in the first rotatable direction toward a first actuator component actuating position when the pin actuator is rotated to the pin actuator first position. The second actuator component is co-rotatable with the pin actuator from a second actuator component rest position in the second rotatable direction toward a second actuator component actuating position when the pin actuator is rotated to the pin actuator second position.
