In marker edition mode, characters such as a character line is read in a closed area on a document marked with a marker. Then, the image data is analyzed to decide image processing means for marker edition such as coloring. A rectangular area including the image is recognized as image processing area. Even if the image is included partially in the closed area marked with a marker, a rectangular area including the image wholly can be specified as image processing area.
Abstract:
In order to improve operability of a copying machine which applies an image processing to an area of an original surrounded by a marker, following processes are carried out. An area of an original surrounded by a marker is detected. It is determined whether or not the number of the detected areas exceeds 30, or the time from starting of detection exceeds three minutes during the detection. If any of those two conditions is satisfied, edit based on the marker is not executed and image data which has undergone full-color copying is output.

In order to prevent leakage of confidential data, a meeting system includes a MFP and a projector. The MFP includes a data obtaining portion to obtain data, a participant information obtaining portion to obtain user identification information as participant information, an access permission determination portion and an output permission determination portion to determine whether or not a user identified by the participant information can access the obtained data, to determine that the obtained data can be output if the determination result shows that all the meeting participants can access the obtained data, and to determine that the obtained data cannot be output if any one of the meeting participants cannot access the obtained data, and an output portion to output data on condition that it is determined by the output permission determination portion that data can be output. The display device displays an image based on the data output from the data processing apparatus.

The present invention relates to an image forming apparatus for copiers, printers and the like. In the image forming apparatus, a standard pattern image, the density of which is detected by a sensor for controlling conditions of image forming operations, is formed on a photosensitive member. Density values are sampled at a plurality of sampling points on a standard pattern image by operating the sensor with a timing at which said sensor confronts said standard pattern image, and are mutually compared with each other. If the comparison result indicates that the timing of the sampling operation lags the standard pattern image, the sampling timing is corrected by eliminating the timing lag. The sampling operation of a subsequent sampling cycle is thereby conducted based on a corrected timing.
