摘要： An improved fuse removing apparatus including an elongated housing, a pair of complementary jaws extending generally longitudinally outwardly from the housing for engagement with a fuse. The complementary jaws are secured within the housing in longitudinal sliding relationship such that a plate at the end of the housing forces the jaws towards each other when the complementary jaws are urged into the housing. A cap disposed over the plate causes the jaws to rotate during use so as to lockingly engage the plate and thereby firmly grip a fuse without having to manually rotate the housing. All that is necessary to lock the device onto the fuse is to simply push the apparatus onto the exposed part of a fuse. A minimum of manual rotation is all that is required to disengage the jaws from the locking plate, and thereby release the retained fuse.

摘要： A modular, portable water-jet system for attachment to the faucet of a kitchen or bathroom sink. The system includes a diverter valve assembly that can be screwed to the faucet and which has one outlet having an aerator and another outlet to which is removably attached a control valve assembly to which is removably attached a jet-flow device, such as an oral cleaning nozzle. The diverter valve assembly includes a spool valve slidably mounted in the housing. One end of the spool valve forms a passage from the inlet of the housing leading to the outlet port to the control valves assembly. A modular solution mixing and metering container can be optionally positioned between the diverter valve assembly and the control valve assembly when a liquid medicant or cleaning agent, for example, is desired. A cross-channel at the top of the container opens to the container where water mixes with and pressures the resulting mixture up a vertical pipe back to the cross-channel where it is pressured to the jet-flow device.

摘要： A multi-function tester includes a hollow elongate cylindrical case having a longitudinal axis. A probe needle is fixedly mounted along the axis at one end of the case. A retractable protective sheath is provided which selectively covers and exposes the tip of the probe needle. A transparent cartridge containing electrical circuitry for performing a predetermined number of electrical tests is removably receivable within the case, with a penlite type battery being interposed between the cartridge and the probe needle. A compression spring is interposed between the battery conductive outer case and the probe needle. Electrical contacts connected to the circuitry within the cartridge are in electrical engagement with both the battery conductive outer case as well as to the center or positive terminal of the battery. An indexing arrangement is provided which is connected to another probe and is arranged to successively engage adjacent ones of a predetermined number of electrical contacts provided at the end of the cartridge proximate to the indexing arrangement. The cartridge is interchangeably receivable within the case to facilitate repair of the tester as well as to increase its versatility by permitting different tests or series of tests to be performed by different cartridges insertable into the same tester unit to thereby electrically connect different electrical elements to the tester probes. Lamps within the cartridge light up and provide a visual indication of test results through the transparent cartridge and a slot in the tester case.

The device includes a housing that defines a nose cavity having an inner surface defining a matrix for receiving the upper nose portion of the nose of the wearer of the eyeglasses. The housing positions the lens bridge above the nose of the wearer so that the bifocal lenses are also raised relative to the eyes of the wearer, whereby when the sight lines of the wearer are directed in a generally horizontal direction, the sight lines are aligned through the lens lower parts. The housing includes a convex surface for supporting the lens bridge and the inner sides of the two lens rims. A keeper structure connected to the housing holds the eyeglasses in position relative to the housing.

摘要： A safety seal for a pressurized system, such as a pressurized oil sprayer used in lubricating engines, or a pressurized paint sprayer, wherein the closure, for an inlet member, for addition of material such as oil or paint, is prevented from being removed, when the system is in the pressurized state. A resilient band, inaccessible from the exterior of the system, is tightly compressed by internal pressurization against an interface between the closure and inlet member thereby locking the closure into a non-removable position. Reduction of internal pressure permits the resilient band to contract away from the interface, thereby unlocking the closure from its non-removable position, with the closure being removable thereafter for addition of material into the inlet.

摘要： An accessory intended to be added to an existing toilet aids personal hygiene by providing a cleansing jet of either water, or water plus a liquid soap fluid, to provide a cleansing and washing action to a person following use of the toilet. Water plus a medicated fluid may also be provided to relieve discomfort from hemorhoids or other rectal ailments. An outlet head is provided with a venturi tube that draws the liquid soap into the water spray. A valve mechanism is provided to control both the water spray output and the secondary fluid output. In another embodiment, the hygenic cleansing jet is provided and a douche capability is also provided. An additional source of medicated fluid is connected for mixing with the water. In this embodiment, the valve mechanism employs a second internally arranged venturi tube which provides low pressure to draw the medicated fluid into the douche output. The douche embodiment can be further adapted for use as enema.
