    Abstract: A first communication apparatus obtains a sampling cycle. The sampling cycle is a time interval at which the first communication apparatus samples occupancy of a first buffer. The first buffer is used to store a data packet of a first priority. The first communication apparatus determines occupancy of the first buffer at a first sampling moment based on the sampling cycle. The first communication apparatus determines first duration based on the sampling cycle and the occupancy of the first buffer at the first sampling moment. The first duration is duration for which a second communication apparatus stops sending data to the first communication apparatus. The first communication apparatus sends first indication information to the second communication apparatus based on the first duration.

    Abstract: Embodiments of this application disclose a collective communication method, apparatus, and system. The method includes: A first network device receives a first packet; the first network device receives at least one second packet; and the first network device sends a third packet based on the first packet and the at least one second packet.     Abstract: A buffer configuration method and a switching device are disclosed, to ensure no packet loss, and belongs to the field of network technologies. The method includes: sending, by a first switching device, a first measurement frame to a second switching device; receiving, by the first switching device, a second measurement frame sent by the second switching device, where the second measurement frame is generated based on the first measurement frame; determining, by the first switching device, a buffer configuration parameter based on the first measurement frame and the second measurement frame; and setting, by the first switching device, a local buffer based on the configuration parameter. The present disclosure is used to automatically configure a buffer of a switching device, thereby reducing required buffer space without packet loss.

The method includes: A first terminal device receives at least one second packet from a first network device, where the second packet includes information about a first process and information about a network device corresponding to the first process, the first process is used to execute a first task, and the information about the network device corresponding to the first process is information about a network device to which a terminal device including the first process belongs. The first terminal device determines a third packet based on the at least one second packet, where the third packet includes information about a target network device and information about all first processes that correspond to the target network device and that execute the first task.
