    Abstract: A method and handheld device for remotely interacting with a second device. The method and apparatus identify the second device from a plurality of devices based on the gestures of the user. As the user gestures, movement sensors sensing the motion of these gestures can generate signals that can be processed by rule-based and/or learning based methods. The result of processing these signals can be used to identify the second device. In order to improve performance, the user can be prompted to confirm the identified second device is the device the user wants to remotely control. The results of processing these signals can also be used so that the user can remotely interact with the second device.

    Abstract: There is provided a pointing device including a mode switching apparatus that switches the pointing device between a two-dimensional (2D) operational mode and a three-dimensional (3D) operational mode and a sensor configured to determine a pointing direction of the pointing device and locations of a plurality of computing devices. When in the 2D operational mode, the pointing device is paired with a first computing device of the plurality of computing devices and controls the first computing device and when in the 3D operational mode, the pointing device is configured to select a second computing device of the plurality of computing devices additionally to control, the selection based on one or more of the pointing direction of the pointing device and the location of the second computing device.

    Abstract: A resource allocation method is applied to a communication system based on massive MIMO. The method includes: A donor eNodeB detects whether a target terminal exists in a donor cell, where a correlation between a wireless air interface channel of the target terminal and a wireless air interface channel of a relay node is greater than a target threshold; and if the target terminal does not exist, the donor eNodeB determines, for the relay node through resource spatial multiplexing, one or more beams used for data backhaul, where the one or more beams are beams formed by a massive antenna array of the donor eNodeB through air interface beamforming.

    Abstract: Generating a user timeline for an electronic device (ED) userData is collected that includes: location data; application data; and activity data. Occurrences of predetermined types of observed events are detected based on the collected data. For each detected occurrence a respective observed event record is stored that includes information about a time and type of the observed event. Planned event records, each including information about a time and type of a respective planned event, are stored for planned events that the user is scheduled to participate in, the planned event records. Events are predicted based on the observed event records and the planned event records. Information about observed, planned and predicted events are output on a timeline user interface based on observed event records, planned event records and predicted event records stored for the predicted events, respectively.
