Abstract:
The technology of this application relates to a method for identifying a flow, where a communication device counts a received packet in a first filtering manner. When determining that a quantity of the received packets of the target flow is greater than or equal to a first threshold, the communication device marks, starting from a packet that exceeds the first threshold, a packet whose count is a multiple of m. When determining that a quantity of the received packets of the target flow is greater than or equal to a second threshold, the communication device counts, in a second filtering manner, a packet that is continuously received. When determining that a quantity of the received packets of the target flow is greater than or equal to a third threshold λ4, the communication device determines that the target flow is an elephant flow, and marks a packet that is continuously received.
Abstract:
This application discloses a link fault handling method, a related apparatus, a storage medium, and a program product, and belongs to the field of communication technologies. In this method, a forwarding plane component of a network device updates a reference state table in time by actively polling a port status register, so that when forwarding a data flow, the forwarding plane component can sense a local faulty link in time based on the reference state table, and perform link switching in time, and a PHY chip does not need to report fault information to a control plane CPU in the network device, or wait for the control plane CPU to deliver an instruction. That is, this solution does not depend on control plane path computation, and does not require additional communication from a data plane to a control plane, to avoid a delay caused by fault handling of the CPU.
Abstract:
A method and an apparatus for determining a data flow rate on a service access port are provided. The method includes: acquiring data traffic information of existing service access ports; classifying the service access ports according to the data traffic information of the service access ports, and determining a data traffic model of a service access port of each class; and when it is determined that a new service access port is to be added to a network, determining a data traffic model corresponding to the new service access port that is to be added, and determining, according to the data traffic model corresponding to the new service access port that is to be added, a data flow rate on the new service access port that is to be added, thus costs of determining a data flow rate on a new service data port to be added can be reduced.
