Abstract: A windage shield system is provided. The system includes an annular cavity having an inlet end and an outlet end. The annular cavity is configured to direct a flow of cooling fluid from the inlet end to the outlet end. The system also includes a source of a flow of cooling fluid coupled in flow communication with the annular cavity. The annular cavity is bounded by a stationary component and a rotating component, and the rotating component introduces heat into the annular cavity by windage effects. The system also includes a cooling channel coupled in flow communication with the outlet end, and a first windage shield extending from the outlet end towards the inlet end within the annular cavity.

Abstract: A compressor for a gas turbine engine includes a stator and a rotor. The stator includes first and second stator vanes attached to first and second vane platforms, respectively. The rotor includes a plurality of rotor blades that rotate with respect to the stator. An inner stator casing supports the first and second vane platforms and encloses the stator and the rotor. An outer stator casing encloses the inner stator casing, and a bleed cavity is disposed therebetween. At least one diffuser is disposed between the first vane platform and the second vane platform, and is configured to allow air communication between the inner stator casing and the bleed cavity. An exit opening of the diffuser is disposed within the bleed cavity at a location separate from the inner stator casing and the outer stator casing.

The combustion section defines a combustion chamber and includes a combustor member defining an opening to the combustion chamber. A mounting assembly extends around or is positioned adjacent to the opening defined by the combustor member. In igniter extends through a ferrule of the mounting assembly and includes a distal end positioned proximate the opening in the combustor member. The igniter defines a plurality of channels each channel extending between a first end and a second end. The first end is positioned away from the distal end of the igniter relative to the second end, and the second end is a terminal end spaced from the distal end of the igniter.

The model suite component selects a subset of models from the set of models. The model processing/learning component process the subset of models and performs learning associated with the subset of models to predict a health state for the one or more assets.
