Abstract: A load impact management system for an automotive vehicle includes a load member extending from a first vehicle frame rail to a second vehicle frame rail and perpendicular to each of the first and second vehicle frame rails and to a vehicle body axis. The load member is coupled to the first vehicle frame rail at two attachment points and coupled to the second vehicle frame rail at two attachment points. The load member defines a load path between a first side of the automotive vehicle to a second side of the automotive vehicle opposite the first side and the load member is forward of a passenger compartment of the vehicle

Abstract: A mounting assembly is provided. The mounting assembly includes a first assembly portion coupled to a first component and a second assembly portion coupled to a second component. The first assembly portion includes a first bracket and a locating pin. The first bracket has a first surface, a second surface, and defines a first bracket protrusion having a first bracket bore therein. The locating pin has a first end, a second end, and an exterior surface. The first end of the locating pin is fixedly mounted within the first bracket bore. The second assembly portion includes a base plate that has a base plate first surface and a base plate second surface and defines a base plate protrusion portion having a protrusion bore therein. The locating pin is configured to be inserted into the protrusion bore in order to position the first component with respect to the second component.

Abstract: A conical mount includes a housing defining an axis of rotation, a base member enclosed within the housing, a main rubber element coupled to the base member and enclosed within the housing, an upper metal portion positioned within the housing such that the main rubber element is positioned between the base member and upper metal portion, a radial snubber extending circumferentially around the upper metal portion, and a bearing assembly coupled with the radial snubber and positioned between the radial snubber and the upper metal portion. The bearing assembly enables the radial snubber to rotate freely about the axis of rotation to reduce a tangential load on the radial snubber.
