Abstract: A method for manufacturing terephthalic acid includes the following operations: providing a raw material, in which the raw material includes a first raw material including polyethylene terephthalate; performing a depolymerization reaction on the first raw material to form a depolymerization product, in which the depolymerization product includes disodium terephthalate; performing a decolorization process on the disodium terephthalate to form decolorized disodium terephthalate and precipitated sludge; separating the decolorized disodium terephthalate and the sludge; and forming terephthalic acid from the decolorized disodium terephthalate after separating the decolorized disodium terephthalate and the sludge.

Abstract: A method for manufacturing a fluorine-free water repellent includes: mixing a paraffin, an inorganic nanopowder and a first reactive monomer to form a first mixture, in which the first reactive monomer includes a structure represented by formula (A), formula (B) or a combination thereof, the formula (A) is wherein X1 is a benzene, and the formula (B) is wherein X2 is CH3 or H and X3 is an alkyl group having 18 or more carbon atoms; mixing an emulsifier, a cosolvent and water to form a second mixture; mixing the first mixture and the second mixture to form a pre-emulsion; and adding an initiator and a second reactive monomer into the pre-emulsion, in which the first reactive monomer and the second reactive monomer are polymerized to form a water repellent, wherein the second reactive monomer is vinylidene chloride.

Abstract: A copolyester resin for preparing a low-melting copolyester fiber is made by compounding a first copolyester with a second copolyester in a weight ratio of the first copolyester to the second copolyester of from 94:6 to 98:2. The first copolyester is obtained by subjecting terephthalic acid, ethylene glycol, isophthalic acid, and diethylene glycol to a copolymerization, and the second copolyester is obtained by subjecting terephthalic acid, ethylene glycol, and neopentyl glycol to another copolymerization.
