Abstract: An expansion valve is provided with a valve body including an inlet hole through which a refrigerant flows into a valve chamber, and a valve hole through which the refrigerant flows out of the valve chamber; a valve element configured to adjust an amount of the refrigerant flowing through the valve hole; a power element that is mounted to the valve body and configured to drive the valve element via a valve rod; a first vibration isolation spring provided in the valve chamber and configured to prevent vibration of the valve element; and a second vibration isolation spring that is in contact with the valve rod and configured to prevent vibration of the valve element.

Abstract: An expansion valve with an improved vibration isolation mechanism includes a valve body, a valve element, a biasing member that biases the valve body toward a valve seat, an actuation rod that contacts the valve element and presses the valve element in a valve opening direction against a biasing force of the biasing member, and a vibration isolating spring that suppresses vibration of the valve element. The actuation rod is inserted into an actuation rod insertion hole in the valve body. The vibration isolating spring includes a leg spring having a base portion and a plurality of leg portions extending from the base portion. The leg spring is arranged in the valve chamber such that a center axis of the leg spring is non-coincident with a center axis of the actuation rod insertion hole.

Abstract: It is an object of the present invention to provide an expansion valve with an improved ring spring.
Accordingly, in the present invention, the expansion valve includes a valve body including a valve chamber, a valve element disposed in the valve chamber, a biasing member configured to bias the valve element toward a valve seat, an actuation rod that presses the valve element in a valve opening direction against a biasing force of the biasing member, and a ring spring disposed between an outer circumferential surface of the actuation rod and an inner circumferential surface of the valve body. The ring spring includes a ring portion, at least three elastic protrusion portions that protrude inward from the ring portion and contact the outer circumferential surface of the actuation rod, and at least one outward protrusion portion that protrudes outward from the ring portion and contacting the inner circumferential surface of the valve body.-

Abstract: A power element has a closed space provided between a first diaphragm and a second diaphragm. An interposing member is interposed between the first diaphragm and the second diaphragm. Accordingly, a size of the closed space can be optionally determined in accordance with a shape such as a thickness of the interposing member. Therefore, limitations on the size of the closed space due to a shape of the first diaphragm and the second diaphragm can be reduced. Accordingly, limitations on the size of a fluid enclosing space due to a shape of a diagram can be reduced.

Abstract: A valve piece urging member urges a valve piece toward a valve closing side, at which an opening degree of a restriction passage is reduced by the valve piece. An actuation member exerts a drive force against the valve piece in a direction of moving the valve piece toward a valve opening side, at which the opening degree of the restriction passage is increased by the valve piece. A vibration limiting member limits vibration of the valve piece in a direction, which intersects with the axial direction, by generating an urging force for urging the valve main body at a location between the valve main body and the valve piece. When the valve piece is moved beyond a predetermined displacement position toward the valve opening side, the valve piece releases the urging force of the vibration limiting member.

Abstract: When a power element expands in a direction of a uniaxial center, a diaphragm is pressed, in the direction of the uniaxial center, against a pressing portion of a lid member fixed to a body unit. A holder member of the power element is displaced away from the pressing portion as the diaphragm further expands outward in the direction of the uniaxial center. Displacement of the holder member in the direction of the uniaxial center is transmitted to a spherical valve, thereby increasing or decreasing an opening degree of the spherical valve. Accordingly, it is not necessary to dispose a member which may cause complicated processing work for an expansion valve between the holder member and the spherical valve, e.g., a member which needs complicated welding processing work.
