    Abstract: An endoscopic aspiration device is mounted on a manipulating head of an endoscope, from which an elongated insertion rod member is extended forward, the endoscopic aspiration device being composed of a valve casing which is mounted on the manipulation head in communication with an aspiration passage running through the insertion rod member, and a valve assembly unit including a valve member, a valve guide member and a connector member attached to the valve guide member to communicate same with a proximal aspiration passage on the side of a suction source. The valve member is put in a sliding displacement along the valve guide member to bring the aspiration passage into and out of communication with the proximal aspiration passage on the side of a suction source. The valve guide member is coupled with the valve casing through a coupling mechanism which permits to turn the valve assembly unit on and relative to the manipulating head. The coupling mechanism is arranged to perform a function of coupling and uncoupling the valve guide unit with and from the valve casing, and a function of locking the valve guide member in the valve casing to prevent spontaneous dislodgement from the latter.

    Abstract: A humidity state at a distal end portion of an endoscope internal space can be reliably estimated without enlarging the diameter of an endoscope insertion part.In a humidity detecting device detecting humidity of an internal space of an endoscope, leakage currents of an imaging device and a peripheral circuit of an electric board disposed at a distal end portion of the internal space of the endoscope are detected and a humidity state of the internal space of the endoscope is determined based upon the detected leakage currents.

    Abstract: An endoscope includes an insertion part in which a rigid distal end part, a bending part, and a flexible tube part are provided; an operating part having a bending operation mechanism; an operating wire; a wire guide pipe; and a sleeve of which the inside is formed in a hollow tubular shape along an axial direction parallel to a longitudinal axis of the insertion part and which is externally fitted to and hold a distal end part of the operating wire or the wire guide pipe. The sleeve includes a slit that is formed by cutting out a partition wall of the insertion part. An opening width of the slit in a circumferential direction perpendicular to the axial direction is made to be smaller than an external diameter of the distal end part of the operating wire inserted through the sleeve or the wire guide pipe.

    Abstract: The fixed valve and the attachable and detachable valve are connected to each other via a connecting band, and both are integrally made of elastomer. A frame body is constituted of a rigid body made of plastic. A flange and a receiving portion are formed on an upper portion of the frame body. A second flange is formed on a lower end of the fixed valve. The fixed valve is installed on the frame body by engaging the second flange with flange. The second flange is prevented from being separated from the flange of the second flange by interposing a part of the second flange between the flange and the receiving portion. The fixed valve is securely installed on the frame body, whereby the fixed valve is prevented from uncoupling when removing a treatment tool.
