    摘要： An elongated supporting sleeve is to be introduced into a longitudinally extending curved interior cavity of a fractured tubular bone. It is curved in at least substantial conformance with the curvature of the bone cavity and has an internal passage extending longitudinally and through which an expander rod of similar curvature extends. At the front end of the supporting sleeve is located an expansion element which, when the expander rod is withdrawn in axially rearward direction through the passage of the supporting sleeve, is expanded into engagement with the inner walls bounding the bone cavity. An instrumentality is provided for so withdrawing the expander rod that it will perform only a rearward axial movement but will not turn.

    摘要： An elongated sleeve is insertable into a passage provided in a fractured bone, so as to bridge the fracture thereof. The front end of the sleeve carries an expansion anchor sleeve which is longitudinally slotted so that its circumferential wall is composed of strips which are connected only at the leading and trailing ends. The strips are buckled in radially outward direction by inserting a rod through the sleeve and connecting it with the leading end of the expansion anchor sleeve so as to exert a rearwardly directed tensile force upon the same, causing its buckling.

    摘要： An elongated rod-shaped element can be inserted into the curved longitudinal cavity of a fractured tubular bone. At its front end it is provided with an expander portion by means of which it can expand an expansion element provided at the front end of a tubular sleeve which surrounds the rod, when the latter is moved axially and rearwardly with respect to the front end of the tubular sleeve. The expander portion may be releasably connected with the rod for which purpose inter-engaging coupling portions may be provided on the rod and on the expander portion.

    摘要： An expansion anchor unit has a first member a leading portion of which is provided with cutter edges for drilling a hole in a support structure, and a trailing portion of which converges in direction away from the leading portion. A second member is provided with a forward end portion matingly engageable with the trailing portion of the first member, and with a rearward end portion engageable by a tool which is operative for jointly rotating both of the members in a sense effecting drilling of a hole in a support structure by the cutter edges. The second member may itself be configurated as an expansion member to be expanded by the first member after the latter has drilled the hole in the support structure, or an additional expansion member may be provided which, after the second member is disengaged from the first member and removed from the hole, is inserted into the hole and forcibly wedged into contact with the first member to be expanded by the same.

    摘要： The trailing end of a forwardly diverging first member is releasably engaged by the front of a second member, the rear of which is configurated for engagement by a drill chuck. Both members are jointly rotated about their common longitudinal axis to drill a hole into a wall with cutting edges provided on the leading end of the first member. The second member is then disengaged from the first member and withdrawn. An expansion member having a slot in its front end is inserted into the hole and so oriented that the trailing end of the first member enters the slot, whereupon the expanding member is further driven into the hole so that the divergence of the first member radially expands the front end of the expansion member as the trailing end enters deeper into the slot.

The support element is provided with at least one groove of undercut configuration and the supported element is provided with one or more male coupling projections which are receivable with a snap action in this groove and undergo elastic deflection so as to enter the groove. To reduce friction, facilitate such elastic deflection, and thus facilitate snap-action introduction into the groove, the coupling projections engage the groove only with line contact and the surface of the supported element which faces the support element is provided with a depression or recess overlying the groove when the two elements are connected, with the coupling projection or projections extending from the bottom of this recess outwardly beyond the surface of the supported element.
