An on-site consumer at a merchant location can obtain payment authorization and a payment method via a mobile device and mobile application from third-party payor that is not at the merchant location. The on-site consumer can select products for purchase and receive the price from the merchant POS device. The on-site consumer can initial the mobile application and select a third-party payor. A notification can be sent to the mobile or other device of the third-party payor. The third-party payor can elect to pay or decline the request and can select a payment method via the mobile application on their device. The decision of the third-party payor and any payment method can be transmitted to the mobile device of the on-site consumer and/or the merchant POS device. After the completion of the purchase, the mobile application can transmit an electronic receipt to the mobile device of the third-party payor.

This disclosure describes systems and methods related to authorizing payment transactions using verbal recognition of a customer. In some embodiments, a payment transaction service provider system may receive payment authorization information from a user device. The payment authorization information may include a recording. The payment authorization information may be authenticated based at least in part on the recording. A payment credential may be communicated in response to authenticating the payment authorization information.

The method can include storing, by a service provider system comprising one or more computers, one or more issuer rules associated with the applicability of one or more payment accounts to proposed transaction; receiving, by the service provider system from a merchant computer, information associated with a proposed transaction, the information comprising one of an identification of a payment account or an identification of a consumer payment device; evaluating, by the service provider system utilizing the one or more issuer rules, the proposed transaction; and determining, by the service provider system based at least in part upon the evaluation, at least one of (i) a payment account to utilize in association with the proposed transaction or (ii) whether the proposed transaction will be approved or denied.

In one embodiment, a method can include receiving a transaction code at the mobile device; transmitting the transaction code to a merchant device for association with a transaction; receiving transaction information associated with a transaction based on the transaction code at the mobile device; displaying the transaction information at the mobile device; displaying at least one payment option at the mobile device; receiving a selection of one of the at least one payment option; transmitting the selected payment option and transaction information from the mobile device for approval of the payment of the transaction; receiving notification of approval of the payment at the mobile device; and receiving a payment completion code associated with the notification of approval, wherein the payment completion code is provided to the consumer on a bill associated with the transaction.
