Abstract: The present invention is to provide an apparatus for searching information based on Wikipedia's contents comprising: a document converting part extracting fulltext documents, section title documents, info-box documents, category documents and definition statement documents from Wikipedia original documents and generating at least one of Wikipedia documents for questions and answers; a document indexing part analyzing the Wikipedia document for questions and answers, extracting POS-based index terms from the Wikipedia document for questions and answers, and generating a Wikipedia document index for questions and answers; a question analyzing part receiving a natural language question, analyzing a question pattern, an answer pattern and a question focus from the natural language question, and extracting document search keywords; a document searching part performing document search by using the document search keywords from the Wikipedia document index for questions and answers and generating document search result from each Wikipedia document index for questions and answers; an answer extracting part extracting first answers by using information about the question pattern, the answer pattern and the question focus from the document search result; and an answer integrating part integrating and prioritizing the first answer and generating a second answer.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an automatic translation and interpretation apparatus and method. The apparatus includes a speech input unit for receiving a speech signal in a first language. A text input unit receives text in the first language. A sentence recognition unit recognizes a sentence in the first language desired to be translated by extracting speech features from the speech signal received from the speech input unit or measuring a similarity of each word of the text received from the text input unit. A translation unit translates the recognized sentence in the first language into a sentence in a second language. A speech output unit outputs uttered sound of the translated sentence in the second language in speech. A text output unit converts the uttered sound of the translated sentence in the second language into text transcribed in the first language and outputs the text.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an apparatus and method for providing a two-way automatic interpretation and translation service. The apparatus includes a first interpretation and translation unit for interpreting and translating a first language into a second language. A second interpretation and translation unit interprets and translates the second language into the first language. A context information management unit receives conversational context and translation history information, and shares and manages the conversational context and translation history information. Each of the first and second interpretation and translation units provides an interpretation service for receiving an input conversation in the first or second language in speech and outputting results of interpretation in speech in the second or first language, and a translation service for receiving an input conversation in the first or second language in text and outputting results of translation in text in the second or first language.
