Abstract: An emergency call apparatus of mobile terminal and method thereof. The emergency call apparatus may include a location identifier to identify a location of a user, and generate location information of the user; an emergency situation manager to identify both voices and movements of the user, determine whether an emergency situation is occurring based on the identified voices and movements, generate an emergency situation alerting signal based on the determination result, and collect surrounding situation sounds generated around the user; and a controller to notify a situation room of the occurrence of the emergency situation based on the emergency situation alerting signal, and transfer the location information of the user and the surrounding situation sounds of the user to the situation room.
