Abstract:
A data transmission method and apparatus initialize an index of a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) for transmitting data to a terminal, adjust the index of the MCS based on at least one of a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARM) feedback of the terminal and a channel quality of the terminal, and transmit the data to the terminal based on the adjusted index of the MCS.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a method and an apparatus for device-to-device (D2D) multicast communication in a cellular mobile communication system. The method for D2D communication may include transmitting a server designation request message requesting registration as a server terminal to a base station, and transmitting service information using a D2D multicast or broadcast communication scheme based on a radio resource allocated by the base station.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a proximity measurement method and apparatus for device-to-device (D2D) communication in a mobile communication system. The proximity measurement method may include determining whether a cell identification (ID) is included in a packet received from a gateway, verifying whether the cell ID matches a pre-stored cell ID when the cell ID is included, extracting, from the packet, Internet Protocol addresses of mobile terminals transmitting and receiving the packet when the cell ID matches the pre-stored cell ID, searching for IP addresses matched to the extracted IP addresses based on a proximity list including IP addresses of mobile terminals performing D2D communication, and registering, when the extracted IP addresses are absent in the proximity list, the extracted IP addresses in the proximity list and measuring proximity between the mobile terminals.
Abstract:
There is provided a method for synchronization between one or more base stations to provide broadcast multicast service, including: receiving a session start request message, and extracting a service start setting time set to start broadcast service from the session start request message; comparing the service start setting time to a modification check time being a check time which is later than and closest to the service start setting time, among check times at which it is determined whether or not broadcast service has changed, the check times having a predetermined time interval; deciding, when the modification check time is later than the service start setting time by a predetermined internal slack time period or more, the modification check time as a service start time at which broadcast service starts; and transmitting information indicating the service start time to the base stations.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method for controlling interference between small-cell base stations by using multi-antenna beamforming. The apparatus includes a channel state information (CSI) estimator, a non-optimal beamforming factor calculator, an optimal beamforming factor calculator, and an interference controller. The apparatus and method control interference between small-cell base stations by calculating an optimal beamforming factor assuming that information exchange between base stations is limited in a small-cell downlink system and each base station knows only a channel value sent by itself or a channel value received by itself.
Abstract:
A method of an NES controller comprises: receiving a first NES intent instructing additional energy saving; determining a first cell to be deactivated based on the first NES intent; obtaining a first UE list of all UEs served by the first cell; determining whether all UEs included in the first UE list are capable of handover; in response to determining that all UEs included in the first UE list are capable of handover, transmitting a handover instruction command to a first base station managing the first cell, so that all UEs included in the first UE list are handed over to individual target cells; and in response to receipt of a handover complete message for all UEs included in the first UE list from the first base station, transmitting deactivation instruction information of the first cell to the first base station.
Abstract:
A method and an apparatus for controlling an MBMS service provided at a specific location in an LTE system. In an MBMS service system of the present invention, it is possible to efficiently control and manage a valid MBMS service only at a specific location. For example, it is possible to more efficiently manage the effective MBMS content only in the specific cell or the specific cluster (set of the specific cells).
Abstract:
Disclosed is a discovery method and apparatus for device-to-device (D2D) communication in a cellular mobile communication system. The discovery method performed by the discovery apparatus may include obtaining, from a server managing information associated with terminals providing a service using a D2D communication scheme over a mobile communication network, information associated with a service provided by the terminals, selecting a service of interest based on the information associated with the service, receiving, from a base station, information associated with a discovery radio resource allocated to the terminals providing the service of interest, and discovering the terminals providing the service of interest based on the information associated with the discovery radio resource.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a method and apparatus for scheduling in a cellular-based device-to-device (D2D) communication. The method of scheduling a cellular resource used in a base station for a D2D communication between terminals may include grouping, by a proximity coordinator, a cellular resource of an adjacent base station based on cell information of a base station, managing a resource to be allocated to the terminal and a resource allocated previously to the terminal based on the grouped resource, and allocating the grouped resource to the terminal based on information associated with the resource to be allocated and the previously allocated resource when a request for D2D communication between terminals located in different cells is received.
Abstract:
Proposed are a method performed by an apparatus related to a self-organizing network (SON) in a wireless communication system, and an apparatus supporting the same. Proposed are a method performed by a first apparatus in a wireless communication system, and an apparatus supporting the same. The method may include receiving the number of RRC connections from a first base station, determining whether the number of RRC connections exceeds a threshold value for energy saving, obtaining information on a second base station neighboring the first base station on the basis of the fact that the number of RRC connections does not exceed the threshold value, and determining an energy saving base station on the basis of current physical resource block usage (PRBU) and predicted PRBU of the second base station.
