A system for configuring low-power wireless network is disclosed. The system includes at least one wireless device configured to be used in a low-power wireless network and be assigned to a new network identifier and a new device identifier; a network coordinator configured to manage the low-power wireless network using the new network identifier and the new device identifier; and a mobile terminal configured to search for the wireless device and assign the new network identifier and the new device identifier to the searched wireless device and transmit the new network identifier and the new device identifier to the network coordinator.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein are an apparatus and method for saving energy in a building. The apparatus for saving energy in a building includes an interface unit, a building information definition unit, an ontology representation unit, and an energy management unit. The interface unit receives the external and internal contexts and characteristics of the building from a building information provision module within the building. The building information definition unit defines the external and internal contexts and characteristics of the building as building information using a specific representation format. The ontology representation unit represents the building information in a form of an ontology model. The energy management unit selects an energy management service based on an ontology model corresponding to the current context and characteristics of the building received via the interface unit, and saves energy in the building based on the selected energy management service.

Disclosed herein is a building energy management apparatus and method. The building energy management apparatus includes a Building Information Model (BIM) analysis unit for receiving and parsing BIM data and then analyzing BIM objects. A building energy object extraction unit extracts building energy objects related to building energy from the BIM objects. A building energy object database (DB) stores a building energy object data into a DB by arranging the building energy objects. A building energy management unit manages energy of a building based on the building energy object data. Accordingly, the present invention provides technology for extracting and managing objects of a building related to the energy of the building based on a BIM, thus efficiently managing building energy.
