Abstract:
An apparatus for collecting adaptive flow statistics data includes a node type collector to access a network node and collect flows; a flow type calculator to calculate two or more flow types according to a flow duration length and request the node type collector to collect flow statistics data of a corresponding type of a flow at every collection period that corresponds to each of the two or more flow types; and a flow statistics storage to store the two or more flow types calculated by the flow type calculator, and store the flow statistics data, collected by the node type collector, for each of the two or more flow types in a table.

A system and method for virtualizing SDN-based network monitoring. The system for includes: an information collector, a monitoring component, an information converter, and a resource allocator, in which a user-defined virtual monitor is included so that integrated monitoring may be performed, and expandability may be guaranteed to dynamically respond to a user's, demands.

In a network including a plurality of switches, different priority levels are assigned to different services based on a frequently requested service list provided from an end system including an end host and a server, and a forwarding rule containing path information for forwarding data packets is selectively set according to the priority levels. A first forwarding rule set for a service of the first priority level is loaded to corresponding ones of the plurality of switches.
