Abstract: A method and apparatus for close-proximity communication. The close-proximity communication method performed by a transmitter includes generating a physical layer (PHY) frame including a PHY preamble, a frame header, and a payload field, and transmitting the generated PHY frame to a receiver, in which the frame header may include a media access control (MAC) header, a header check sequence (HCS), and a Reed-Solomon (RS) parity bit.

A wireless communication method to be performed by a first wireless communication device includes broadcasting a beacon, receiving an association request signal from a second wireless communication device receiving the beacon, and performing association with the second wireless communication device after receiving the association request signal, in which the first wireless communication device may suspend beacon transmission after the association with the second wireless communication device is established.

Abstract: A frame transmission method and a wireless communication apparatus performing the same. A frame transmission method performed by a first wireless communication apparatus includes receiving subframe unit length information of a second wireless communication apparatus from the second wireless communication apparatus, determining a subframe unit length of the first wireless communication apparatus based on the received subframe unit length information, generating a plurality of subframes based on the determined subframe unit length, and transmitting a frame in which the generated subframes are aggregated to the second wireless communication apparatus, and wherein, when at least one of the subframes includes a padding, a length of the padding allows a length of the at least one of the subframes including the padding to be a multiple of a natural number of the determined subframe unit length.
