Abstract: To eliminate accumulation of air while preventing a decrease in pump efficiency, a pump is provided. The pump includes a rotary shaft, an impeller that is attached to the rotary shaft and that rotates with rotation of the rotary shaft, a casing that surrounds the rotary shaft, a shaft sealing device that seals a gap between the casing and the rotary shaft, and a baffle plate part that is located between the impeller and the shaft sealing device and attached to a rotating body. The baffle plate part extends in a direction that is inclined or orthogonal with respect to a surface orthogonal to an axial direction of the rotary shaft.

Abstract: A rotatable apparatus includes a casing and a protector for closing an opening. The casing includes first and second casing faces intersecting at angle θ1. The first casing face is provided with an opening. The protector includes first and second protector faces abutting and intersecting each other at angle θ2. The protector is fixed to only the second casing face. The angle θ2 is larger than the angle θ1 when the protector is removed from the casing. The protector is attached to the casing in such a manner that the second protector face is fixed to the second casing face, and that the first protector face is elastically deformed so that an edge part of the first protector face, which is located on the side opposite to the second protector face, closely contacts the first casing face.

Abstract: A coupling guard capable of adjusting its length with a simple structure is disclosed. The coupling guard for covering a coupling which couples a drive shaft of a prime mover and a rotational shaft of a rotary machine to each other, includes: a guard body including an upper semicylindrical member and a lower semicylindrical member, the guard body having a fastening tool configured to couple the upper semicylindrical member and the lower semicylindrical member to each other; a guard leg configured to support the guard body; and a length adjustment member inserted into the guard body. The length adjustment member has a cylindrical shape. The length adjustment member has an outer circumferential surface which is tightened by inner circumferential surfaces of the upper semicylindrical member and the lower semicylindrical member which are coupled by the fastening tool.

Abstract: A shaft coupling guard is used to cover a shaft coupling that couples a main shaft of a prime mover and a main shaft of a driven apparatus as a rotatable apparatus driven by the prime mover. The shaft coupling guard includes a guard main body formed so as to extend in a direction along an axis and having a tubular shape for circumferentially covering the shaft coupling. The guard main body includes a guard main body upper portion, and a guard main body lower portion configured to be detachable from the guard main body upper portion. The shaft coupling guard further includes a leg portion formed integrally with the guard main body and configured to support the guard main body.
