Abstract: New 9,10-bridged anthracene compounds, such as 9,10bis(carbethoxy)triptycene improve certain properties of polyesters prepared by polymerization or dicarboxylic acid, such as terephthalic acid, and an alkylene glycol, such as ethylene glycol, when incorporated in the polymerization mixture.
