摘要: A sliding component includes a pair of sliding members being slidable relative to each other on sliding surfaces of the sliding members. In the sliding component, one of the sliding surfaces includes a dimple group in which a plurality of dimples is arranged. Each of the dimple has an opening portion whose shape has a long axis and a short axis orthogonal to the long axis. In the dimple group, the dimples are arranged along a curve having a curvature different from a curvature of a circumference of the one of the sliding surfaces.

摘要: In an exemplary embodiment, a sliding component includes a pair of sliding parts 4 and 7 sliding relatively to each other and having sliding faces S formed radially for sealing a liquid or a misty fluid as a sealed fluid against leakage. One sliding part is a stationary-side seal ring 7, and the other sliding part is a rotating-side seal ring 4. At least one of the sliding faces S is provided with positive pressure generation mechanisms 11 having positive pressure generation grooves 12 configured to communicate with a circumferential edge of the sliding face S on the sealed-fluid side and not to communicate with a circumferential edge on the leakage side, and discharge grooves 10 disposed at an angle such that upstream ends are located on the leakage side and downstream ends are located on the sealed-fluid side.

摘要: In an embodiment, a sliding component includes a pair of sliding parts (a stationary-side seal ring 7 and a rotating-side seal ring 4) that relatively slide on each other and each have a sliding face S formed radially for sealing sealed fluid from leaking. The sliding face S of at least one sliding part is provided with dynamic pressure generation grooves 10 spaced in a non-communicating manner from the sealed-fluid side and the leakage side by lands R of both sliding faces, and is provided with fluid introduction holes 11 between leakage-side ends 10a of the grooves 10 and the leakage side, for communicating the grooves 10 and the leakage side. Each fluid introduction holes 11 is configured such that a dynamic-pressure-generation-groove-side opening 11a open to a corresponding one of the grooves 10 is axially displaced from a leakage-side opening 11b open to the leakage side.
