    Abstract: A sampler for liquid chromatography is described. The sampler includes an injection valve and a sample loop. The injection valve includes one waste port, two sample loop ports, and two high-pressure ports. The sample loop port includes a first loop part and a second loop part. The injection valve can be configured to have LOAD position and INJECT position. The injection valve can also be configured to have one or more additional positions such as a FULL PURGE position, a PUMP PURGE position, and a NEGATIVE PRESSURE position.

    Abstract: A fluidic system for fraction collection comprises a switching valve having a plurality of ports for connecting first and second ports in different configurations. An inlet line is directly connected to the first port, and a collection device is directly connected to the second port. In a collection configuration, the first port and the second port are connected. The ports further comprise third and fourth ports, and the fluidic system further comprises a buffer section directly connected to the third and fourth ports. The fluidic system further comprises a first collection reservoir and is configured to position the collection device to expel a fluid into the first collection reservoir. In a buffer configuration, fluid flows through the inlet line, the first port, the third port, the buffer section, the fourth port, the second port, and the collection device.

    Abstract: A plug for connecting capillaries includes at least one capillary tube, at least one sealing, and at least one pressure piece. The capillary tube includes a first inner diameter and an open end section. The sealing includes a second inner diameter, a first end section and a shape adapted to seal the open end section of the capillary tube when connected. The pressure piece is adapted to exert at least axial pressure and/or force to at least a part of the sealing. The pressure piece is also adapted to host the first end section of the sealing in abutment with the open end section of the capillary tube so that the capillary tube and the sealing are aligned.
