The system includes a first module, a second module communicably connected to the first module, a third module communicably connected to the first module, and a fourth module communicably connected to the third module. The first module is configured for determining an angle. The second module is configured for defining a second rotating reference frame having an axis aligned with the vector, and for transforming a two-phase set of direct currents from the first rotating reference frame to the second rotating reference frame. The first and second rotating reference frames are synchronized. The third module is configured for generating a first direct current reference signal associated with the second rotating reference frame. The fourth module is configured for generating a second direct current reference signal associated with the second rotating reference frame. The first and second desired direct current reference signals are orthogonal.

    摘要: A plurality of methods of analysis of images of eyes of a subject taken by a reflex photometer are disclosed. In this methods, a computer coupled to the reflex photometer is programmed to locate the pupil of at at least one eye, crop an image array containing the pupil from the total image and perform analyses on the cropped array to determine whether conditions are present indicative of disease processes in the eye. In essence, parameters of the subject eye are developed, and these subject pararmeters are compared to the same parameters developed by a normal eye. In addition, indications of strabismus are examined by comparing the area of the white portion of the eye on one side of the iris with the white portion on the other side of the iris.

    摘要: A method for imaging leverages the fluorescence lifetime of a fluorescent Si-containing particle to distinguish from background fluorescence. A particle is introduced into tissue. An excitation light pulse is applied to excite luminescence from the fluorescent Si-containing particle. Time-gated measuring of a responsive luminescence signal identifies the particle. In preferred embodiments the particle is coated or encapsulated with an organic material. The fluorescence lifetime of particles can be controlled during manufacture, such as by oxidation levels, quenching treatments, or by aging. This permits introducing and using groups of particles in imaging that have unique lifetimes and multiple time gating can be used to identify different particles or to monitor the change in lifetime of a single set of particles as they respond to a biochemical stimulus. The particles can also be functionalized for affinity to particular tissues and can be loaded with treatment molecules.
