摘要: Method for continuously removing the unreacted butene-1, and optionally other volatile components, from a polymeric solution obtained by liquid phase (co)polymerization of butene-1, the method comprising the steps of: subjecting the polymeric solution to heating and mixing conditions such that a mixture is formed consisting substantially of: (1) a polybutene melt containing entrapped butene-1 and (2) supercritical gaseous butene-1; subjecting the above mixture to a sequence of devolatilization steps operating at decreasing pressures.

摘要: A solution process for polymerizing one or more α-olefins of formula CH2═CHR, where R is H or an alkyl radical C1-12, to produce a polymer that is soluble in the reaction medium, the process comprising: (a) polymerization in a solution phase of one or more α-olefins in the presence of an organo-aluminum compound and a catalyst system comprising a transition metal compound as the catalyst component; (b) the polymeric solution obtained from step a) is then pressurized and transferred by means of a screw pump to a successive step for removing the unreacted monomers from the polymer; wherein the pumping capacity of said screw pump is kept constant by adding the polymeric solution with water at a feeding point upstream the screw pump.

摘要: A liquid-phase process for polymerizing α-olefins of the formula CH2═CHR, where R is H or an alkyl radical C1–C6, to produce a polymer that is soluble in the reaction medium, comprising the steps of: a) continuously polymerizing in liquid phase the α-olefin in the presence of a catalyst system based on a transition metal compound; b) continuously withdrawing from step a) a solution of polymer in the liquid reaction medium; c) mixing in one or more mixing stages said solution of polymer in the reaction medium with an organic deactivator having: at least a hydroxy group, a boiling point higher than 150° C., and a ratio between the molecular weight (MW) and the number of hydroxy groups (OH) comprised between 20 and 100.

摘要: A 1-butene/propylene copolymer composition having a content of propylene derived units from 1 to 4% by weight, wherein at least 50% of the crystalline polymer is present in the thermodynamically stable, trigonal Form I (detected by DSC analysis) after 100 hours of the first melting at room temperature comprising: b) from 5% by weight to 95% by weight of an atactic 1-butene propylene copolymer having the following features: i) distribution of molecular weight Mw/Mn equal to or lower than 4; ii) no enthalpy of fusion detectable at a differential scanning calorimeter (DSC); and iii) infrared crystallinity lower than 0.5%; b) from 5% by weight to 95% by weight of an isotactic 1-butene propylene copolymer having the following features: i) isotactic pentads (mmmm) measured by 13C-NMR, higher than 80%; ii) melting point (Tm(II)) higher than 70° C.; and iii) distribution of molecular weight Mw/Mn equal to or lower than 4.

摘要: A solution process for polymerizing one or more α-olefins of formula CH2═CHR, where R is H or an alkyl radical C1-12, to produce a polyolefin soluble in the reaction medium, the process comprising:a) polymerizing said one or more α-olefins in a solution phase in the presence of a polymerization catalyst and a inert solvent having a vapor pressure lower than 100 kPa at 20° C.;b) separating the produced polyolefin from the unreacted monomers and the inert solvent by means of a sequence of at least three volatilization chambers operating at a decreasing pressure, the second devolatilization chamber being operated at a pressure from 0.8 to 5 bar.

摘要: A 1-butene/propylene copolymer composition having a content of propylene derived units from 4 to 10% by weight, wherein at least 50% of the polymer is present in the thermodynamically stable, trigonal form 1 after 100 hours at room temperature, said composition comprising: a) from 5% by weight to 95% by weight of an atactic 1-butene propylene copolymer having the following features: i) distribution of molecular weight Mw/Mn equal to or lower than 4; ii) no enthalpy of fusion detectable at a differential scanning calorimeter (DSC); and iii) infrared crystallinity lower than 0.5%; b) from 5% by weight to 95% by weight of an isotactic 1-butene propylene copolymer having the following features: i) isotactic pentads (mmmm) measured by 13C-NMR, higher than 80%; ii) melting point (Tm(II)) higher than 70° C.; and iii) distribution of molecular weight Mw/Mn equal to or lower than 4.
