    Abstract: A ramp assembly includes a platform that may be positioned adjacent to a door of a vehicle. The platform is positioned to be longitudinally coextensive with the vehicle thereby facilitating a disabled person to enter the vehicle. A plurality of legs is removably attached to the platform such that each of the legs may abut a support surface. A ramp is slidably coupled to the platform. The ramp is positionable in a deployed position having the ramp extending between the platform and the support surface. Thus, the ramp may facilitate a wheelchair to be rolled onto the platform thereby facilitating the disabled person to enter the vehicle. The ramp is positionable in a stored position having the ramp being stored within the platform.

    Abstract: A gravity-magnetic ore separator for concentrating magnetic or weakly magnetic minerals having a relatively high specific gravity is disclosed. The ore separator utilizes codirectional magnetic and gravitational forces to achieve separation capabilities in excess of that which can be achieved using gravity forces alone. Typically, the gravity-magnetic ore separator is formed by retrofitting a conventional gravity separator such as a spiral, cone, pinched sluice, etc. with magnets so as to enhance the separation capability of the conventional gravitational ore separator. Means are provided to prevent build up of magnetic material on the surface over which the ore flows.

    Abstract: A gravity-magnetic separator (10) for concentrating magnetic materials (28), particularly iron, is disclosed. The preferred separator is a cast-iron Humphreys spiral retrofitted with powerful rare earth magnets (22) beneath its separating surface (14), the magnets being sufficiently strong to overcome the shielding effect of the cast-iron spiral and induce a magnetic field at the separating surface of about 60 gauss to about 120 gauss. The resulting gravity-magnetic separator enhances the recovery of iron in a commercially significant way.

    Abstract: A protective cover is placed over a rack of cathode ray tube components to prevent contamination of the components and/or moisture damage to the components. Some cathode ray tube components, particularly funnels, are stockpiled so that assembly lines can be kept running even if the supply of the component becomes temporarily exhausted. However, these stockpiled funnels must be protected while in storage. The protective cover described herein can be fastened in place around a rack or pallet containing a stockpile of funnels. The protective cover can also incorporate moisture-absorbent elements to prevent moisture damage to the stockpiled funnels.

    Abstract: During manufacture, the components of a cathode ray tube must be protected against contaminants, such as dust, that will degrade performance of the completed tube. A protective tunnel, in which a contaminant-free environment can more easily be maintained, protects open cathode ray tube funnels that are moved between a coating station and a drying oven. Access doors may be provided to allow for cleaning and maintenance of the tunnel, as well as access to cathode ray tube funnels in the tunnel. A vacuum system may also be provided to clean airborne contaminants from the protective tunnel.
