Abstract: Provided are silicone elastomer particles that have higher oil absorbency than conventional products and are less prone to aggregation, making the particles superior in handling workability as a cosmetic raw material and imparting a superior tactile sensation and feel during use to a cosmetic product. Specifically, silicone elastomer particles, having a structure in which at least two silicon atoms in a silicone elastomer particle are crosslinked by a divalent organic group having a partial structure formed by radical polymerization of vinyl acetate, as expressed by —{CH2—CH(COOCH3)}t— (where t is 1 or more), as well as a use thereof, are provided. In particular, the silicone elastomer particles have a crosslinked structure that is active with respect to biodegradability. Therefore, primary particles thereof are expected to have a property of disintegrating with the generation of non-crosslinked siloxane molecules due to a decomposition reaction of microorganisms and the like in the natural world.

Abstract: Silicone particles having excellent dispersibility are provided via the method herein. A cosmetic material having excellent feeling of use, and a highly functional paint and an electronic material are also provided. The silicone particles include a siloxane as a component. A content of a hydrogen atom bonded to a silicon atom per unit mass is 300 ppm or less, or optionally is 20 ppm or less. In addition, the silicon atom in the siloxane as a component for the silicone particles is crosslinked with another silicon atom via an alkylene group having a carbon number of 4 to 20.

Abstract: Provided is a silicone resin coated silicone elastomer particle which can be easily produced on an industrial scale, has superior dispersibility and oil absorptivity in a curable organic resin such as an epoxy resin, and has superior workability due to low secondary aggregation compared to conventional silicone elastomer particles. Also provided are applications containing the particles such as organic resin additives, organic resins, coating compositions or coating agent compositions, and cosmetic compositions. The silicone resin coated silicone elastomer particles have part or all of their surface coated with a silicone resin made up of two types of siloxane units. The siloxane units are selected from D units represented by R2SiO2/2, T units represented by RSiO3/2, and Q units represented by SiO4/2. The particles also have a structure in which at least two silicon atoms in the particles are cross-linked by a silalkylene group with 2 to 20 carbon atoms.

Abstract: Provided is an oil-including elastomer particle wherein at least two silicon atoms within the silicone elastomer particle are cross-linked through a silalkylene group with a carbon number of between 4 and 20, and having a structure that includes, in the silicone elastomer particle, an oil that is liquid at 40° C. In general, the mixture of oil and the cross-linking silicone composition can be cured in the form of emulsion particles. Also provided herein are uses of the oil-including elastomer particle and emulsion particles formed therefrom.

A polycaprolactone compound containing a reactive group having two or more modified polycaprolactone structures has the structural formula (1) as described herein, where in the formula, n is a number in the range 1 to 5 and Ra is a specific (meth)acryl terminal group or alkenyl terminal group, specifically, a compound selected from the aforementioned (meth)acryl-modified polycaprolactone compounds and alkenyl-modified polycaprolactone compounds.
