Abstract: An information code reader is capable of readably imaging an information code displayed on a screen, not liming to an information code covered by a covering portion through which visible light cannot be transmitted. In an information code reader, first illumination units to radiate visible light, in which an information code is subjected to image acquisition by a first image acquisition unit. Second illumination units radiate infrared light, in which the information code is subjected to image acquisition by a second image acquisition unit. A visible light cut filter, which does not allow the visible light to pass through, but which allows the infrared light pass through, is arranged depending on a spatial imaging range provided by the second image acquisition unit.

Abstract: A configuration that achieves stable wireless communication. In this configuration, electrical power according to transmission waves is reliably supplied to a wireless tag serving as a target of wireless communication. Both the wireless communication devices substantially simultaneously transmit transmission waves on different channels separated from each other by a predetermined frequency or more on a frequency band in the frequency axis, when performing wireless communication processing to wirelessly communicate with a wireless tag in a predetermined communication area.

Abstract: An information reading apparatus includes a box which suppresses outside leakage of radio waves, a housing unit housing a plurality of articles, at least one reading antenna for reading information from a plate-shaped radio tag attached to each article, and a control unit performing reading processing of information from the radio tag utilizing the antennas. (a) The housing unit houses the plurality of articles so the surface of the radio tag is orthogonal to a pair of opposing inner surfaces of the housing unit, and (b) a first distance between one of the pair and an inner surface of the box opposed by an outer surface of the housing unit corresponding to the one inner surface is longer than a second distance between other inner surfaces of the housing unit and inner surfaces of the box opposed by outer surfaces of the housing unit corresponding to the other inner surfaces.

Abstract: An RFID reader-writer includes a housing in which an antenna and a wireless tag processor are housed. The housing includes a front surface, a rear surface facing the front surface, and plural side surfaces connected to the front surface and the rear surface. A reading surface and a front-side gripping surface are formed on the front surface. The antenna is disposed at a position inside the housing which faces the reading surface, such that the antenna can transmit and receive electromagnetic waves via the reading surface. A part of the rear surface which faces the front-side gripping surface is formed as a rear-side gripping surface. The front-side gripping surface and the rear-side gripping surface are configured as a handgrip for gripping the RFID reader-writer with a thumb and a finger.
