Abstract:
A device for inferior retrieval of a vena cava filter includes an outer sheath with a first radial window closer to the distal end than the proximal end of the outer catheter; an inner sheath generally extending movably inside the lumen of the outer sheath and having a second radial window; and a snare tool having an elongated guide element extending through the inner sheath and a snare loop distally attached to the guide element. The snare loop is extendable outward through the two radial windows.
Abstract:
A hemostasis mechanism includes a housing having a valve body, a connector coupled to a distal end of the valve body, and a cap coupled to a proximal end of the valve body. A first valve is within the housing and has a fixed state of axial compression between the valve body and the cap. A second valve is within the housing and has a range of states of axial compression between the valve body and the connector. The first valve has a self-closing bias and forms a lower pressure seal about a medical device pushed therethrough. The second valve has a self-opening bias and forms a higher pressure seal about the medical device via adjustment of its state of axial compression.
Abstract:
The disclosure provides apparatus and methods for reentering a true lumen. The reentry catheter includes a shaft that includes a proximal opening in a proximal end of the shaft, a J-shaped filler in a distal end of the shaft, and a distal side opening in a sidewall of the shaft. The distal side opening is adjacent to the J-shaped filler. A passageway extends between the proximal opening and the distal side opening. The proximal opening, the distal side opening, and the passageway each are configured for the passage of an elongate medical device there through. A movable cover is hingedly attached to the sidewall of the shaft biased in a closed position and configured to occlude the distal side opening when in the closed position. The elongate medical device is configured to open the movable cover, the movable cover is configured to facilitate reentry to a true lumen.

Abstract:
An endovascular medical system includes an expandable and collapsible framework including a plurality of link sets joined together at hubs. Each of the link sets includes a plurality of scissors linkages connected in series. The framework is movable between an expanded position in which each of the scissors linkages are pivoted to a closed position and a collapsed position in which each of the scissors linkages are pivoted to an open position. The endovascular medical system also includes a deployment system for advancing the framework to a vascular deployment site within a vascular structure. The deployment system restricts movement of the framework from the collapsed position to the expanded position during advancement to the vascular deployment site.
